Last week, the Supreme Court issued several decisions that will have a profound impact on our country for years to come. I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the big wins we had on birthright citizenship and mail-in voting.

Nevada’s public schools rank among the worst in the nation. It’s not because we don’t have dedicated teachers or students who want to learn, but because our class sizes are among the largest in the nation. This means teachers are forced to stretch their attention and classroom resources.

On Juneteenth, we honor the day that the last enslaved people in the United States were freed on June 19, 1865. We must never forget the struggle for freedom and never stop fighting to advance justice for ALL.

Voters are tired of our same old same old political system. They want to have a real voice in our democracy and they want leaders who will challenge the status quo and make a dramatic change for the working people of this country.
