Lunch today was gnocchi sautéed with a bit of butter, with fresh spinach thrown into the pan to wilt, and then as it finished cooking I hit it with a spoonful of pesto. Entirely yummy.
Realized in a happy moment that I had on hand all the ingredients to make whole wheat pasta shrimp and broccoli Alfredo for lunch. 🎉
There are fireflies in my yard again this year. I don't mean to put too much pressure on those little bugs, but they are such a sign to me that Hope Remains in our darkening world.
This was the first book that upset me, and I remember it forty years later. Grover is asked to trade his brand new box of crayons for an old beat up broken truck toy, in order to be nice on his first day of school, and then realizes he doesn't want the broken truck and misses his crayons.
