Gaming, both modern and retro. For several years I've been in complete charge of pretty much everything in my life. Jk I'm spiraling 42 w/ daughter who is actually the one in charge.
Ripping and tearing (and getting a little lost towards the middle there) #doom
Pins I've accumulated over the past few years, most of which were included with physical collector's editions of games. The Mario one is one that I've had since I was a child though, from 1988! (I checked, it's not very valuable lol)
Found this pillow and pin at a store called The Kawaii Shop that sells Japanese knick knacks and snacks. I was wearing my Silksong shirt so it felt like it was meant to be.
Games beaten in 2026 #55 Doom: The Dark Ages - Revelations A completely new playstyle and moveset plus a more rounded out enemy roster and incredible visual and audio design makes this even better than the base game, putting it up there with Doom Eternal. Looking forward to the endgame content.
Games beaten in 2026 #54 Shovel Knight: King of Cards More, shorter levels is a fun change of pace from the longer levels of the other campaigns. The locomotion in this game is unique and fun, bogged down by an annoying card game that I couldn't care about at all but have to play constantly.
Polygon being a joke by claiming this is what critics being divided looks like. Gaming journalism at its finest.
Magic happened during @tncarly.bsky.social's word game on her stream @eebik.xyz @arrontk.bsky.social @therpgenius.bsky.social
Feeling very normal about what happened at id software yesterday. If one can have a parasocial relationship with a company (we all know they can) I guess this is the closest one to that for me. It feels like a travesty for such a legendary company to be gutted by what seems like helpless children.
Games beaten in 2026 #53 Mega Man 7 To me this game is such a step down in quality and charm compared to the NES games that came before, and especially compared to it's Mega Man X series SNES contemporaries. It doesn't help that the end is so frustrating I almost didn't even finish it.
Happy three day weekend to those who get one, and thank you for your service to those who don't
July #promosky I'm Ben, I mainly talk about video games, like: DOOM Elden Ring Hollow Knight Resident Evil Mario Zelda Dark Souls Metroid Mega Man Remedyverse Castlevania Blasphemous Quake DUSK Donkey Kong Silent Hill StarCraft and others, see updated pic! If you like games let's be friends!
Games beaten in 2026 #52 Rockman World 5 The first in in this run of Mega Man games that I've never played before and the only Game Boy game that is completely original instead of a remix of the NES games. And it was really good, I enjoyed it a lot. Weapons and bosses felt creative and original.
This thumbnail pops up in my YouTube feed from time to time and I just really feel it.
Games beaten in 2026 #51 Mega Man 6 I still have more to play but this concludes my journey of collecting and replaying physical copies of every NES Mega Man game for the first time in my life. I have no nostalgia for this one because I didn't own it as a kid, and as an adult I can say: it's good!
There's always going to be people who want everyone to know what a REAL gamer they are because they don't like the NORMIE games. This is the first time I've seen it with GTA though, but I was nowhere near as plugged in online back in 2013 obviously when the last one dropped.
Games beaten in 2026 #50 Star Fox The first of what will likely be many runs. More games should be designed to be completed in two hours but with incentive to gladly play it numerous times. I'm surprised more games haven't copied Starfox 64's progression system over the years.
