I looked up Lorcana events last night and saw there happened to be a special draft night tonight! So I made myself try a public event for this game (only my second time playing!). I lost each game, but came pretty close several times... and drew my first Enchanted, in my very first draft pack?!

as for the elephant: This is circa '95 or 6? I rode an elephant with my brother + our oldest brother's girlfriend at the time. I feel bad about it since I know how exploitative that kind of thing is now, but as a veeeery small child it was quite exciting 😅 I believe it was at Six Flags in Vallejo.

Picked up Rhythm Heaven Groove a few days ago! I forgot to pre-order it, but there was a copy left over that someone didn't buy. Played it with @imamagnet.bsky.social (his first Rhythm Heaven!!) and got "Amazing"s on the first 3 sets of stages so far. I love this seriessss 🎵💖

Crazy coincidences on Friday. Magnet & I went to two bars we'd never been to before, and at both, we ran into someone I met and/or worked with at my first job in Pennsylvania. I met both people almost exactly 10 years ago, and I saw them both back to back, on a whim. They don't live in this city!

Board game surgery is complete!! Scoville is back in business.

My work's copy of Scoville is missing the main center board piece, so I made a mock-up one so we don't have to throw our copy away. Not too shabby, I think!

Magnet and I celebrated the 4th of July by watching Toy Story 5, playing Pop'n Music, seeing someone threaten someone else on the subway with a knife (classic), and playing SEGA BASS FISHING 🥳🐟🎆🎊🎇🎉 on the Dreamcast with my pristine new fishing controller!!!

Watched the Amazing Digital Circus finale in theaters with Magnet and two friends. So many emotions 😭 I'm excited for it to come out online soon so I can rewatch it and also discuss with others without spoilers!

I was just talking about how I need more rap CD's, and then a friend handed me someone's old collection that they had been given. Some legit, some burned; some too scratched or environmentally damaged, others intact. DVD's, too! They almost all have custom covers, which really tickles me.

Stayed in at the cabin & gamed more in those couple days than I have in a looong time! Games I played over the weekend: Billiards (sunk 3 balls in a row at one point!) Mario Party 6 Mario Kart Double Dash!! Tetris Attack Sonic Heroes Flip 7 Smash Bros. Melee Con Con Above and Below I'd Eat That!

Just tried Georgian cuisine for the first time (cheeseboat!), and there met two people who are performing in the Chicago musical and invited me to their opening night tonight. Should I?! 💃

My sister went through some papers and found a photo of me with my mom I'd never seen before. I thought I'd seen them all, so a new one was very surprising. I believe this was taken at Vesuvio, the bar she worked at in the 70s in San Francisco. Photo circa 2000 or so, around age 8.

Happy 3rd Gotcha Day to our Koko Bean! I'm endlessly glad that I saw her in the shelter. She's my Little Lamb, Little Baby, Beanie Baby, and Peanut Butter Paws. Over the past year, she's started sleeping on my chest at night :') She's about 5.5 years now & always makes me laugh. I love her so much!
