Went to San Ginés w/some neighbors for Happy Hour tapas & sangria. They’d just hosted a watch party for The Game and the place was still abuzz! Of course we saved room for cinnamon churros & chocolate sauce.

I went to the plant nursery today & yielded to temptation. Temptation in the form of a Robers Lemon Rose Scented Geranium. That fragrance transports me back to long-ago summers spent at the Roundtop Festival. The groundskeeper had dozens of giant terra cotta pots overflowing with them. Magic.

Correction, my little trailer is named Grapeseed!

Greetings from Grapeseed, the name of my abode at Diamond Vineyards for this week’s orchestra festival. Played a few tunes for the greater good of the harvest, the vines of which are just out of the camera shot.

Here’s the view out the front door of my abode for this week’s orchestra festival. I’m staying in a cute little trailer named Grapeseed. It’s literally amidst the grapevines. (I’m at Diamond Vineyards in Fredericksburg, and yes, this is a glass of their lovely wine.)

I rode the trike to do errands before leaving for Fredericksburg tomorrow. I treated myself to a gelato at Dolce Neve & enjoyed this view out the window. (Once again, I wore a dress to cycle in. Love it.)

Took the bus to New World Deli to see Panama Hats tonight. Had a lovely time. The Hats are sort of a ‘first cousin’ band to Dim7, with overlapping personnel & repertoire. Good fun.

It’s an electric harp, and I haven’t had time to record anything “plugged in,” but here’s me clowning around with it acoustically.

The Harp-E arrived this afternoon & it’s good fun. I have lots to learn, but can definitely make a lot of noise with it! This wee video, however, is unplugged & all acoustic. It’s Floyd Cramer’s “Last Date.”

I really enjoyed the Banksy exhibit that’s in Austin right now. Also, it was super fun to ride my trike to the gallery.

I’m riding my trike to see this exhibit w/friends tomorrow. It’s gorgeous here today, so I decided to do a test run of my route. I made a few so-called wrong turns, but had a blast getting there. So maybe they weren’t really wrong turns.😎

I played w/the old n’hood band for a fun party celebrating the unveiling of this chicken. We included 5 chicken songs in the setlist. (My posting has been sparse lately, but am trying to make an effort again.)

Thank you. It took 6 months before I could face having a memorial. Worth the wait. It was a secular service - the benediction was from Terry Pratchett, followed by Tom Lehrer’s Poisoning Pigeons in the Park. Then we had a big gumbo feast in the back yard. A grief milestone well met.

On Saturday, a whole bunch of folks came over to the house to celebrate my late husband Sean’s amazing life. This is how we ended the ceremony. (Yes, that’s me on the accordion.)

My front garden is abuzz with all sorts of winged creatures this morning.
