Loved visiting lemonade stands across Edmonton-Decore. I met so many incredible kids who are raising funds for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. So proud of these kids and their families for making a difference in the lives of other children & families.

Alberta’s jobless rate stands at 7%, the highest in Canada, trailing only the Maritimes. We have unemployment rates above the national average, a fact we can’t ignore. The UCP government just makes announcements that doesn’t change this high unemployment realities.

Earlier this week, my colleagues & I met with healthcare workers. We already have challenges ahead this flu season. We are grateful for their grit & expertise, even as the pressure mounts on our ERs. We need a government that listens & works our frontline healthcare workers.

It is not complicated. in 4 yrs, according to the surveillance data, flu vaccination coverage declined. Meanwhile, influenza hospitalizations increased over the same period. This shows the inverse relationship between vaccination coverage & hospitalizations. Vaccination works.

As we prepare for flu season, Alberta's flu vaccine coverage has fallen for 4 straight seasons. Down to 20%. The lowest in a decade. Our hospitals can't handle what we witnessed last flu season. Albertans deserves accessible, affordable vaccination.

Self referral private pay come into effect today. I've written to the Minister seeking answers on the new policy for self-referred preventative health testing. Albertans deserve clarity on reimbursement eligibility, criteria & the claims process. Transparency shouldn't come after implementation.

Yesterday, I joined Edmontonians to grieve, remember & honour those we’ve lost. All because they didn’t have a place to call home and were homeless. Last year alone, 349 people in our city died due to homelessness. That’s double what it was just five years ago. This should not be acceptable!

When we are outside the legislature, you'll find us at the doors alongside amazing volunteers. We were out today and constituents let us know that Danielle Smith's priorities just don't line up with what matters. Our education system is failing & our healthcare is crumbling. We can do better.

Premier Smith is pushing for two-tier American-style healthcare, but Albertans are fighting back. People are speaking up loudly to protect and rebuild our public system. The state of healthcare right now is not acceptable, and Smith’s model would finish off what is left. Albertans deserve better.

Across the province today, Albertans from every walk of life came together. They are not just frustrated anymore, they are pushed past their limits by UCP government policies. They joined hands knowing that they deserve a responsible, competent, & compassionate government.

Yet again, the UCP bend the system to suit themselves, undermining the principles of our democracy. This is about power & control, and they continue to prove it with decisions like this. There doesn’t seem to be a line they won’t cross.

“None of my MLAs have indicated to me that they’ve signed,” said Danielle Smith two weeks ago. Now Jason Stephan is openly supporting separatism while serving as Parliamentary Secretary of Constitutional Affairs. If this isn’t the UCP’s agenda, why is he still in their caucus?

To no surprise, the RCMP are now investigating ties between those at the center of the CorruptCare scandal and those close to the UCP government. Shady deals and secrets don’t stay hidden forever…

The UCP Budget 2026 cuts $1B from diagnostic services and scales back funding for cancer screening and prevention. Limited screening means delayed diagnoses and fewer early detections. Cuts like these don’t balance the books, they cost lives.

A $9.4 billion deficit, and the UCP’s bright idea is to cut funding for cancer screenings, research, and prevention? Early detection and cancer care save lives! Cuts like these can mean the difference between life and death for Albertans. How do they justify this?

With record flu deaths and only 20% of Albertans vaccinated, the UCP’s Budget 2026 cuts to public health and immunization come at the worst time. Deepening the strain on already overwhelmed hospitals and putting lives at risk when flu deaths are preventable is indefensible.

Alberta’s population is growing, but our health care system isn’t keeping up. The UCP promised new acute care beds, yet Budget 2026 includes no funding to deliver them. Empty promises, overcrowded hospitals & long waits shouldn’t be the reality in our province.

The failed Turkish Tylenol procurement left $50M taxpayer dollars missing. Of the $70M spent, $20M was wasted and never used. This is a clear example of mismanagement, and Albertans deserve answers and accountability from the UCP government.

Indigenous peoples have been sounding the alarm about poorer health outcomes for far too long. This UCP government continues reshaping health care without their voices at the table. Indigenous partnerships must be at the foundation of real health‑care reform.

For the first time in history, Chiefs from Treaty 6, 7,& 8 passed a unanimous no-confidence vote in Danielle Smith. They raised urgent concerns about Treaty relationships, and the UCP shut it down, showing once again they refuse respect and accountability. Enough is enough,Treaty rights matter!

The UCP’s Budget 2026 makes life more expensive for Albertans, especially the most vulnerable. A 9% cut to the Alberta Seniors Benefit means fewer seniors qualify & continuing care costs rise. Balancing budgets by cutting support for those who need them most is not leadership.

Alberta just experienced its deadliest flu season on record, with 250 lives lost. Meanwhile, vaccination rates have fallen to 20%. The science is clear: vaccines help prevent illness, reduce severe outcomes, and save lives.

The UCP promised triage doctors weeks ago, but Albertans are still waiting. Now the Premier is pointing fingers instead of taking responsibility. Yet again, this government is playing the blame game while ERs remain overcrowded and frontline staff are stretched to the limit.
