Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby. I've Asana-ed, I've Trello-ed, I've Smartshat. (So far I have mostly avoided Jira.) But now I'm hauling out my stack of real notebooks and going analog.
Really a trip to see THE ODYSSEY and the MIA Modern Art and Politics in Germany 1910-45 one after the other. Very much anti-war, but also about the reevaluation of warrior heroism and the way a piece of art looks different before and after horrific events.
Haven't ventured to the punk fest yet, but another high school classmate was in town running a chamber music festival so I went there. "You look Good!" he said once I reintroduced myself. To be fair, this is what he was comparing me to

Apologies all around, but I will always remember these sculptures from the Tate Modern, which were made by the artist and her male partner peeing in the snow and then using the indentations as a mold. The curation suggested the resulting patterns had something to do with gender.

Do you guys remember how there used to be a store at the mall where you could get heat-transfer stuff on a shirt—band logos, anything you felt like spelling out in block letters? Do stores like this exist anymore?
I liked the soft serve beer last year (whatever @stpauligrrrl.bsky.social may say about it) and cheese curd tacos are reliable. My 100% must have is the Corn Roast, ideally followed up by a trip down the Giant Slide.
Interesting. Anyway, psyched to see The Time and a bunch of other folks at the Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis show at the real State Fair.
This is a pretty interesting history of the bizarre relationship between the Libertarian Capitalist right and Christianity. Pulls together some familiar threads into a scarily coherent narrative--worth a read. Conclusion:
I finally tried the LA burrito at Lito's at Lake and Bryant and it is The Shit. The Bomb. So incredibly delicious and absolutely HUGE. Everybody please go there!
My alarm went off so my dog, who was sleeping on the bed with me, got up and barked and fully laid across my legs so I can't move. Thursday is canceled. Mug shot
