You KNOW the supermarket corporations are desperate when Giant Eagle, owned by Kroger, put out special offers for extra rewards points for > $30 purchases of fresh produce. 😮 #ExplosiveDiarrhea #cyclosporiasis
They’re just wildflowers. But they look so nice at night with directional lighting. Yellow evening primrose Deer love to eat them.
Finding more flower blossoms where earwigs enjoy hanging out, at night: ~ orange marigold ~ golden day lilies ~ yellow evening primrose #flowergarden
It’s seriously rabbit season here. 2 rabbits in this image (of 4 total) that showed up this morning for carrots & watermelon treats. 1 bun stares at me like a pet dog, expecting me to fling more carrot.
WYD last night? Same as before… Fed this little homeless guy. He likes carrots better than watermelon.
You responded to an American Senator whose topic was American affordability, with an article about Canadian rent? That’s some funny trolling you got there.
Evidence of Dementia: Stowing a STAND-UP tube of toothpaste on its side, with its flip-cap slightly wonky; in 2026. Because elderly of today continue to think that tubes of toothpaste cannot stand (for easier dispensing) like tubes they grew up with. Little torments like this make life hell.
Protect that wild primrose if you like, little earwig. But, if the deer comes back, you may want to be gone.
I ran out of peanuts. So, the squirrel is happy to eat Special K with almond slivers cereal, today. #backyard
Purple NWS report from 2023. Wildfire smoke (in particular rom Canadian forests on this date) drifted south, to give us haze for a week. Highest I’ve been aware, in recent history.
Wild evening primrose: a wonderful yellow flower that blooms at night. Smells like the mildest sweet lemon. #bloomscroll
#Bloomscroll Datura: a white devil trumpet that blooms at night. Also gets “protected” by earwigs that enjoy hanging out on these flowers. Earwigs, being very light aware; avoided my flashlight (UK torch) beam ~ it dove deep into the open bloom.
Happy July. Staple monthly post: I’m newly an introvert; former extrovert. I don’t follow accounts readily. If you use cartoon avi, or emoji as your profile pic; & you created a pseudonym account name ~ I probably won’t follow you. I feed critters that venture on my property. #FuckAI
Q: So what do you do when you’re being insomniac ack ack ack? A: Feed critters. Rabbits ran away when Bambi showed up, to eat their popcorn.
#Wildflower Yellow evening primrose blooming in early morning darkness. Didn’t take long for an earwig to show up to “protect” this flower. Just the mildest sweet lemon aroma.
Milkweed Monday: 1. Faint spotted angel or locust looper 2. Silver spot skipper 3 Great spangled fritillary Moth & butterfly enjoying life in my No Mow Zone.
WYD? Nuthin… Just checking in on my 2 monarch caterpillars. They’re plump; almost ready to transform in to a chrysalis.
2 monarch caterpillars 2 inches long Not moving Not eating + Off the milkweed = look for chrysalis tomorrow #butterfly in about 3 weeks.
Good afternoon in my No Mow Zone: About 49 #milkweed stalks all with blossoms. And, an almost fully grown monarch caterpillar, that I just saw for the first time today!
WYD last night? Nuthin… Flung some bread, a peach & tortilla chips to a deer. Then, watched it take a leak on the neighbor’s yard. #yards
WYD last night? Nuthin… Flung some bread & carrots to the wild rabbits.
#Bloomscroll My zinnias are tiny, this year, because the pot is small, too. And earwigs “protect” yellow day lilies at night.
ok… I accidentally found a neat feature in iPhone pictures! You know the press & hold to “outline” copy feature? When pasted here, Bluesky attaches it as an image with black background.
