wait, what? 2" floppies? Not 3-1/2"? 2"? yes I was persuaded in 1988 by a really good deal on a Zenith laptop that used these revolutionary 2" floppies. Obviously the future. Official floppy disk of the 1990 World Cup! (I didn't notice what the official floppy of this year's world cup is.)

Nothing makes you enjoy overseas travel more than when your employer is paying. Case in point: 25 years ago today, I gave a talk on WebObjects in Osaka. That was one of several delightful employer-sponsored boondoggles. I was darn lucky.

It was very thoughtful of the Ottawa REDBLACKS to display a classic Argos logo on the crane behind the goalpost. Key to victory right there.

In case Ottawa RedBlacks security tells me I can't conduct the singing of the Argos fight song with this dangerous baton, I've got a back up.

So ... interesting new book just released. "Steve Jobs in Exile." And the author Geoffrey Cain was remarkably thorough in digging up Steve Jobs at NeXT stories.

Somebody actually created and approved this ad. Even the Toronto Argonauts do not understand this year's Toronto Argonauts schedule. (The Argos are playing a 'home' game vs Hamilton, but at the University of Guelph. They aren't PLAYING THE UNIVERSITY OF GUELPH for crying out loud.)
