Flashing back 2 weeks ago to a delightful (and purposeful) pit stop at Traveler Food & Books in CT on the way to Boston. Three free used books with every meal-so much fun!

My goal for the Holiday weekend was to try one new coffee place each day. Goal achieved; let's just say they all aren't going to knock it out of the flavor or vibe park. Oy.

Heavy rains changed plans a wee bit, but I found I could enjoy my coffee outside under the delightfully decorated overhang at IX. It actually turned out to be very pleasant. #coffeesky #glimmers

Nostalgic for last Saturday's walk in an unexpected torrential downpour. I found a dry overhang at the boathouse where they kindly had coffee. It turned out to be very peaceful and zen, never mind the deluge : )

The weekend thus far is shaping up to have a Strong Yellow theme. Art from the Sakura exhibit at the Romanian Cultural Institute, yellow Magnolia blooms and Grand Central lighting that always captures my fancy. Happy Saturday~

Had the fancified NYC version last night. I regaled my friend with tales of taking out giant buckets to hunt them and avoiding ticks...and maybe it wasn't the dinner story he expected? LOL.

Saturday sushi lunch date with "King Sorrow" by Joe Hill. I made the bold choice to try an Umami Martini. Oh my goodness, it was one of the best cocktails I've had in awhile! Who knew I enjoyed mushroom Liqueur?
