Commiting random acts of violent introspection. She/Her. Queer in all regards.
I don't know that this fits as an answer to this question but I think about this on a very regular basis, it's in my head at every museum and gallery I visit.
Kid the Younger got some spending money from family for her birthday this weekend (13!), and went on a walk to the corner store today with a couple of friends. Then she sent me this. Proud doesn't even begin to cover it. I can't put into words how happy I am. Awesome kid with such a kind heart.
We're more than halfway to getting my tires replaced! I'm hoping so hard we can get the rest raised before another work week starts. $245 to go!! Thank you! Paypal: affirmationgin at gmail Cashapp/Venmo: showupforthis
Repost with your first crush It's all of them. All three. Still. To this day.
Aww! Your Mabel is precious. This was my Mabel, we lost her in December. What she lacked in length she made up for in sheer weirdness. Just the very best dogs, Mabels.
I miss Mabel so much right now. She was such a comfort. Her favorite place was sitting up on my shoulder or laying across my chest. It's been three and a half months and I just miss my girl so dang much.
When your baby grows up and moves out and gets busy and you try not to text-smother them and you try not to worry but how are you going to know ever for sure that you raised them well for the world they have to live in and then one bright morning you get a sign
Oh oh! I have one! Show me your favorite picture you took in 2025! Let's say bye to '25 in a flood of mutual admiration! Aside from any with my kids, which I won't share publicly, this one wins for me. It's the cake Kid the Younger made for Older Kid to celebrate her high school graduation.
And while I've been dealing with all these big life events - being laid off, finding a new job, moving Older Kid off to college, being laid off again - Mabel was right there, on my lap or chest or in my arms more often than not. She was such a love and I miss her so much.
New routines. Slept until two hours past normal breakfast time. Mabel was always the one to make sure I woke up on time for doggy breakfast. Chase just stared at me, lost. It's okay baby, we'll just be lost together for a while.
She liked to sit like this a lot. She was a wonderful girl. We were so lucky to be her family.
Marvelous Ms. Mabel took her final bow in the very early hours of the day. She was rescued off the streets and ended up in a local shelter at age 6. I saw her picture, just a blur of black and white fur, and had a hunch. We went to meet her, fell in love, and brought her home. Eight years of love.
I feel like this is misleading because almost everything I checked yes on I did before I turned 18 and that was more than two decades ago.
But then not bullying myself through it means actually having to deal with All The Feelings which also feels scary so. Anyway a nice thing about this week is that Kid the Younger had a day off school so we went to some of our favorite free spots and I wanted to share that with you.
Mabel, bless her, does not like it when I cry. She barks about it until I pick her up and then refuses to be put down.
Goodnight from Chase the Wonderdog and the Marvelous Ms. Mabel, they love you tons and so do I
Okay friends. Good news: I've got a new job! Bad news: It doesn't start for a month!. Unemployment isn't enough, and rent is due tomorrow. I need to raise $2500 to bring this balance back to positive and cover rent and utilities. Paypal: affirmationgin at gmail Cashapp/venmo: showupforthis
