I'm Uncle Sam, That's who I am. Been hidin' out, in a rock n' roll band. Mainer, mariner, skier, data man, deadhead, etc.
The less glamorous side of cruising on the Maine coast - drinking coffee in the fog and rain.
Good morning from Christmas Cove, where the dark and stormies flowed and the funk jams rolled last night.
Went for the first thing I'd actually describe as a "run" in about 10 years today...not bad for a fat guy.
I am looking west over Lake Michigan right now and cannot see the sun at all.
The Midwest isn't all corn and soybeans and sadness (although we saw plenty of all of those on the drive here from Maine)
It's not exactly a good fishing spot but it's pretty. Saw a beaver swimming around a bit downstream
Lotsa wild brook trout in this little stream. Also found a farm stand just down the road that sells hand tied flies. A pretty solid morning in the western Maine mountains.
Maine CD-2 also going to RCV. Personally, I am disgusted that scamPAC innovator Jordan Wood did so well. I think Dunlap and Baldacci are both good candidates to run against LePage, I'm going advantage Dunlap here based purely on vibes and personal preference
One can simply go outside and then you see things. Like this. That make you think the world might be ok after all
'Vette cart with a Jeep body anyone? Looks like there's a motor under there. #weirdcarbs
I'm trying really hard not to tell the bartender that a "Royale with cheese" canonically refers to a quarter pounder, but I don't want to be insufferable in real life so I'm doing that here instead.
One from yesterday's perambulation. This cool geologic feature is called the Eye of the Needle
