Musician, writer, producer, gamer (ttrpgs & video games), Juris Doctor, all around smartass. He/him. ADHD and coffee. AI free. Fuck off with your AI generated bullshit. 🇵🇷 Boricua 🇵🇷 English/Spanish Drummer for Cojoba & Tavú. All instruments in Sielvartas.
I also have such a strong memory of issue 203, which was a Shadowrun cover. It looked so awesome. I took this issue everywhere and it suffered for it, I'm sad to say. (Below is not my copy, mine is a bit more messed up)
There have been so many good album releases these past few weeks that I totally forgot that Quicksand dropped a new album! So, blasting "Bring On The Psychics" right now. Early morning pick me up.
First photo, setting up for Cojoba rehearsals a year ago. Second photo, setting up for La Experiencia rehearsals on sunday (with a ton of guest musicians). Good times. This saturday's show is gonna be a blast.
A lot of kickass albums out these last few weeks, but right now, it's a Cult Of Luna/Julie Christmas "Mariner" kind of day. Masterpiece.
Today I received my "Dragonbane: Arkand, City of Waves and Flames" Kickstarter rewards. Book is looking nice!
Thanks to this thieving asshole the neighborhood lost power, internet is gone, cellphone signal/data was degraded, roads & businesses closed, our normal exit out of the neighborhood closed, damages to the already suffering power grid... He's lucky he didn't die with this crash. Looks like a warzone.
Refreshing my memory for it. After a decade & some I have revived a character I have a lot of love for so we can go back to this edition. It's gonna be a blast.
The Saharan dust cloud hitting the island today is one of the worst in a while. Air quality sucks. Visibility in the haze is weird. Things in the distance either disappear or look like unrendered polygons in a videogame overworld.
Two of my favorite drum photos from the "Clamor Victorium, Clamor Silentii" album release show at Ep Taller, Rio Piedras 13 years ago today.
My wife got me this Witcher goblet as a gift. She knows me well. It was a pleasant surprise, now full of wine.
Today is an Anathema "Alternative 4" kind of day. This beautiful album always destroys me.
#PuertoRico Esto es MAÑANA! PUMPIAERA! Fit for an Autopsy, In Flames, Lamb of God en el Choliseo!
Today is an Iron Age "The Sleeping Eye" kind of morning. It's been a busy bunch of days. Been meaning to post about em, but time has been consumed by work, family, studio time, rehearsals, etc. But I live!
Cat's out of the bag. I'll be playing drums for Puerto Rico punk rock legends La Experiencia de Toñito Cabanilla$ for the 30th anniversary of their first album, "Generación ABCDE" at La Caverna, Santurce, July 4th. The show will raise funds for Jeka's cancer treatment. Art & date absurdly ironic.
Well, it ended up being a Somali Yatch Club kind of morning. Currently blasting "The Space" to soothingly clear away the cobwebs in my mind. I love that band. I love this album. I hope they're doing alright.
Random photo I sent my wife last night to show her what I was up to. Don't mind the messy desk lol I'll take a more decent photo during my next session.
Today is a Black Peaks kind of morning, starting with All That Divides. Massively underrated, brilliant band. The vocals always stay with me long after the album ends. Still sad they broke up.
Had a blast last night at the Wacken Open Air Puerto Rico Warm Up Party. Every band owned it, but the live debut of Acheron's End was especially wonderful to witness. Their album dropped on friday, go listen!
Spirit Adrift surprise dropped their final album today. "Infinite Illumination" goes back to their more doom metal roots, with tight, massive production from Zeuss. I'm sad that it's their last album, but I'm grateful Nate & co gave us one last outing. It's a banger. Fuck cancer.
2/3 Titled Nine Inch Noize, it looked like this. Those that went to the Peel it Back Tour, or that saw clips of the amazing B-Stage stuff with Boys Noize know this was one of the many highlights of the tour. Not all of these were played in every show, so it compiles from all throughout the tour.
Onward to the shitshow that is April Fools, 2026! (Art by Andréa Boloch)
It's a Endless Forms Most Gruesome kind of morning. Dark, sludgy, nihilistic, heavy as hell, angry, atmospheric, wonderful. My mind is unquiet today, the music gives it rivers to follow, providing some order to the chaos.
A Misery Signals kind of morning. Absent Light is an unsung masterpiece in their discography and deserves appreciation today and every day.
This popped up in my FB memories. I was good friends with PR melodeath/deathcore pioneers Infectoria. Played bass with em for a show, which I've shared before. But I would more commonly be asked onstage as a guest vocalist on a few songs. I could effortlessly scream with the best of them back then.
Arriving at work blasting Wide Eyes "Oneironaut" in my ears, with zero interest in any in-person interaction beyond my immediate household. Misanthropy on high today (more so than normal). Good music helps, people definitely don't.
