Sifa ID 🪿
@sifa
We are your professional ID for the modern and open web. Based on AT Protocol, built in Europe. Made with 🧡 in 🇪🇺 by @singi.dev / @gui.do Get your Sifa ID today:
Today we launch the "Talks & sessions" section of your Sifa profile, aimed at people that... well... talk a lot 😅 Another example on how we can go beyond a "standard" CV or online profile and customize it to the things you actually did/do. 💪
Here's an early POC for a "personal website" run entirely on Sifa (and more atproto) data: sifa.id/p/gui.do/site (just append /site to your own profile to see it in action) You can also self-host it: github.com/singi-labs/s...
Did you know you can just add ".md" behind any Sifa profile, and it will give you that complete profile in markdown?
We already showed a blue checkmark (on your profile, after your name) if you are verified by Bluesky. Now we also show the checkmark if you are verified by @mu.social / @eurosky.social (or any of their verifiers) Or we show multiple if your are fancy like @aendra.com 👸
Ok that required quite some foundational rework... but I hope you like where it ended up 😅 Instead of just "Volunteering" you now have the sidebar section "Involvement" that has several options, one of them being "Open Source". LMK how that works out for you! 🙏
If you select a company/organization but the name is wrong (most likely scenario is that the caPItalizATion is off): you can now request a review and suggest the revised name. 1) open the edit dialogue that contains the wrong name 2) click "Suggest a name correction" 3) fill out your suggestion
Hah, yeah it's quite the challenge to fit a wide range of "experiences" into neat little boxes that fit everyone... Having said that: I myself have added these into the "More > Volunteering" section. That should fit the purpose quite well I think?
After ingesting for a full working day, and another day or running tests we now have a combined database of about 23.6 million company records (and their webdomains) ingested, so you can now properly link your career items to an organization 💪🏢
A more sensible professional profile. Dreaming about it during the night, working on it during the day.
Thanks to @emily.space you can now add subtitles to your publications. Bonus for @orcid.org users: if your publications have subtitles there, those will be automatically ingested into your Sifa profile, no manual work!
The biggest app-overachiever of the AT Protocol network...? Maybe? What we do no for sure is that @zzstoatzz.io is our Profile of the day! 🎉 Go check him out: sifa.id/p/zzstoatzz.io
Fixed! Was geen probleem met jouw account specifiek: door een foutje waren ze bij iedereen verborgen.... 🤦 Dank voor het melden!
When we do, go to sifa.id/settings/acc..., delete your account, and then you can still use all your own Sifa data and network elsewhere. 💪 And there is nothing we could do about that (but we hope & will work hard to make you stay though 💙)
Here you go: reviews about us on @atstore.fyi are now shown in full on our (logged out) home page! Thx @pixeline.be @roel.vanhooydonck.nl @vale.rocks @trueberryless.org @patrick.eurosky.social @kacaii.dev! 🙏
AT Protocol already supports "website" and "pronouns" for a while now, but the bsky app didn't expose them yet, making it a bit harder to set them in a GUI. But @mu.social does! And when you enter data there, these official fields will of course also show up on your Sifa ID 💪
When you add/edit a career item, adding a company name was mandatory. We made it conditional: if the Employment Type is one of the group "Independent" (Contract, Freelance, Self-employed, Independent work), adding a company name becomes optional. /ht to @tamme.schichler.de for pointing this out! 🙏
Upload the zip file from LinkedIn here in step one, and then click the "Confirm & Import" button below that
Provided some TLC to the @standard.site article activity cards: comments now also show up properly, link to the article, show the proper (@leaflet.pub / @pckt.blog / @offprint.app) icon and show the title and author of the article you are commenting on.
Control which apps feed into your activity at sifa.id/settings/activity. Per-app toggle. Flip one off and it drops from your profile, the activity stream, AND your RSS / Atom feed in one go. 🎛️
To subscribe: 1. Open a profile, e.g. our profile of the day sifa.id/p/imlunahey.... 2. Paste into @skyreader.app, NetNewsWire, Reeder, Inoreader, etc. Most readers auto-detect. 3. Or grab the .atom URL from Settings > Export > Your public URLs.
Every Sifa profile is now an RSS / Atom feed. 📡 @bsky.app, @tangled.org, @standard.site, @smokesignal.events, and more, all in one single stream you can subscribe to from any reader.
Resolved (sorta). I'll make a better looking solution than this, but at least it works now 😅
