I'm not really on social media anymore.
It just feels really good to be in that creative loop again. That upward spiral of creating, improving and getting motivated to do more. Fast too; These took 7 days, 6 days, 12 days respectively, plinking at them roughly 2-4 hours a day.
Just playing with my dolls at this point. Ninu has reached that state where I consider her at least somewhat finished. I learned a lot again with this model and I'm wondering if I want to improve/polish her some more or take that knowledge forward to the next model.
Genuinely very proud of myself for this being like my 4th model after roughly ~100 hours of blender. Looking forward to rigging and posing Ninu.
Ninu Blender update! Merging the hair into one mesh took like 2 days (it's a mess) and I redid the UVs completely (also a mess) Looking forward to see how handpainting her texture goes.
More Blender! First time doing long hair, took a couple of tries and I played with different techniques and even touched the sculpting tools a bit. Got a good blockout, gotta sit down and merge the whole thing into one.
My very own 3D gobbo, forcing myself to move on because she has a hundred tiny mistakes I could fix (Model, Topo, UV, Rig, Nicer texture, etc) but I learned a lot!
Picked up 3D again last week, actually got a hang of UVwrapping this time around. Gonna see if I still know how to rig and get her movin' in UE
Feeling aimless with my art these days. Not in a bad way per se, it's good to wander sometimes. The usual y'know? Change my style? Do I wanna keep it painty or do I go in with sharper cellshading? Do I redesign my OCs or focus on other creative aspects like writing/gamedev/3D/etc.
Bit of a gobbo move to draw a goblin before and after goblin week but not during.
Was like stuck on picking colors for 2 hours because I was struggling with the green gobbo skin, so I just turned her yellow.
Drew this at the start of the year. Gonna try and doodle something every day. (but maybe not post every day because I'm also gonna be very indulgent this year)
S'pretty damn good. Got to ~90% blind until I felt the need to crack open the guides to find the last spools n tools. Don't see myself doing Steel Heart like the first game though, even the small dudes got hands. 🐜
Trying to get better at metals, this is mostly faking it but damn did I fake it good.
Doodles I couldn't take all the way to the finish but am still like. Posting them to prevent myself from going back and polishing them again over and over.
Style searching studies. Pretty sure this is the direction I wanna go for at this point. (Don't be surprised if I change my mind)
A lot of my OCs are the result of taking a study drawing too far. Ninu is for muscular ladies, Avea came from action poses. Ceri was for drawing hands so I gave her 14 of them. (and then canonically gave her the ability to make them invisible because I am not *that* insane).
I've been drawing a bit saucier lately, it's mostly because I've been very happy with my anatomy lately and don't wanna cover it up. Green Dragonlady 🐉
Drew this a a joke alongside it but I'm actually quite happy with this Gosling.
Good rigs make me feel good things. I usually like my characters stoic, timid or deadpan, so I don't tend to draw expressions like this often. These were fun and will try 'em more from now on.
Sometimes worldbuilding brings you to silly places like creating fantasy variations of hair follicles. Surely this will be helpful to your campaign. You're welcome.
Another experimental piece, this was about speed and while it's a bit rushed it's something I can pump out within 4 hours.
