Test your whistles now and then, especially if they hang on e.g. the outside of a much-abused purse or backpack.
Plot twist! I came home, looked at its current state, and went "nope, that's lavender." Picked a leaf, sniffed it, went "rosemary." Went inside and sniffed the dried rosemary: yep, same-ish. Turns out: they're closely related. But the flowers are different and I think it *is* a lavender.
Pro gardening tip: if you let the thistles get tall enough you don't have to bend over to pull them up. (Apparently last year the wind carried seeds across our gravel drive, there was a swath of them.)
Could a Kindle do this? (get forgotten somewhere completely non intuitive because I like to stick the magnet places)
I'm having that question with the rosemary. Like yes, herbs/veg are my exception to native, but also that is wildly out of control. 😆
Choosing to believe that South Jersey folks don't realize you can write "South Jersey" as the state. 😜 Anyway I've finally been home for more than ten seconds that I'm not sleeping, so some South Jersey bubbles got filled.
Is DHS doing "it might get radioactive here" warnings for English speakers or just Spanish speakers?
The scary thing is wondering what it changed that is harder to notice. From context that should be "never."
Now to put the fabric for the smallest starting project (a basic tank top) in my cart and oh no
K1 looked at it and *immediately* wanted a "type M themed" version so that's what's on the printer. We're gonna end up with an assortment of interchangeable colors so I guess I gotta figure out how to open it again.
(also you, and any other Bridgied person, can just assume whenever I reply to you that I have only seen the first ~220 characters of your post because I'm not clicking through every time)
Wait, Trump is going to Rushmore and not even sticking around for all the nonsense he's inflicting on DC?
I mean! They're telling me they will pester me about this in three weeks and THERE IS NO OPT-OUT. (besides asking PetSmart to delete everything about me, which I am going to do right this instant)
So the good news is, they had finished the hydrant flushing right outside just before I left. The bad news is, I walked outside to water in the street adding to the humidity. HOT BUTTERED AIR Car AC kept up fine, and I actually ran in to Aldi on my way home and somehow was... fine? (also: what)
Everybody: "Stop using beach/leisure pictures when covering a heat wave!" WHYY Philly: "I gotchu"
Okay, y'all are in a doom spiral. It's bad! But swapping increasingly dramatic "what if" stories isn't gonna get us out of it. Not gonna cook myself in it.
Pretty sure @rincewind.run could drop this in as his daily Pratchett quote and aside from the archaic spelling and not renaming Pompeii we'd all go "huh, don't remember that scene but it checks out; probably time for a reread"
