The Druffle package on Jinxxy has been updated to remove the YUCP installer entirely and to distribute as a standard Unity package. The YUCP installer itself has been archived and will be shut down. I don't condone harassment or death threats. Civil criticism, however, was warranted in this case.

I feel the same way about this as I did when I found out Dragoneer passed due largely to the American healthcare system failing him. It's hard to put into words. I don't wish even people I consider problematic the kind of unending horror that is having your body fail you in a way you can't afford.

I know the system's limited and painful for some folks and I'm sorry, but it's my job to keep myself from getting overstimulated to the point I want to rip my headset off. It's 100% true. The Trump admin, for whatever reason (either because the Biden admin lumped DEIA, the A being Accessibility, together, or just because they're cruel to all marginalized groups), included accessibility in its DOGE word-search slashes, which alone has done untold damage across the US.

I went digging and found a Reddit thread asking the same question. The OP came back and said they asked around and the game devs had indicated the training data came from a paid VA, which is fine tbh. They also said someone on Steam forums called them "woke" for asking, which checks out tbh.

The AI disclosure for the game Foundry really has me torn. As a matter of principle, I really don't support *any* game with *any* use of GenAI...but I'm not sure if this crosses the threshold of unforgivable tbh. It sucks, because if they used it so little, all they had to do was just *not use it*.

Heads up on this switch, if you didn't read the email they sent out: GitHub is now requiring an explicit opt-out on using everything you feed Copilot to train its broader AI, instead of it being opt-in. Opt-out instructions are in the second image (and its alt text) below. Fuckin' GitHub. *sigh*

So @tsop.bsky.social got me into Hytale and then she ran off to go play Warframe or somethin, but I stayed and have been playing Hytale in my free time over the last month. Today I crafted the Harvest Trophy, a legendary plushie that needs 100 of almost every farmable to craft. I'm so proud. 🥲

Just discovered that one of my upstream Docker things (Watchtower, which checks for image updates and auto-updates) is being sunset...the goodbye message has a few gems in it. "...with a heavy heart, and some sense of relief..." "A few of the active forks...are full of AI slop" Lovely 😔
