16 years ago, I enrolled in an Arabic language program in downtown Cairo that changed my life. This summer, one of my students started as a fellow in the same program: the Center for Arabic Study Abroad. A full circle moment and an experience, I hope, that will be equally transformative for him.
Look at what arrived in the mail today! To see this senior honors thesis take shape, from an undergraduate’s idea last year to something I can now hold in my hand (and proudly display on my bookshelf), was simply awesome.. Working with such students has been the highlight of my time at Dartmouth.
