I went to see Kraftwerk last night - not my usual sort of thing but I couldn't turn down the chance to see a legendary act like that. Bloody excellent, really enjoyed it. Great visuals perfectly in sync with the music, including the lights on their suits.
I've set up a Raspberry Pi with BirdNET-Pi, plus a mic hanging out of the window - 24x7 bird detections. It's fairly quiet so far today
In our garden, towards the edge of Bristol, a few years ago. You can imagine it waking up and thinking "Wow, that was quite a night out. How did I get here?"
I have thought about getting a Raspberry Pi for a long time, but had no sensible use case. Then last week I found out about BirdNET-Pi. My Pi arrived yesterday and it's up and running. There are several flavours I have never heard of, which may be false positives.
Yesterday and today... I still had 5 possible words on my last guess yesterday, but got lucky.
This graph shows my weekly scores since 2023 - Portsmouth scores in yellow, a 6 week rolling average in green, PB in blue. What this tells me is that I should have moved on from a traditional bow to a barebow a long time ago!
This is getting ridiculous, I don't know how much longer I can keep this going, but I set *another* PB at #archery on Sunday - up from 522 to 534. 9 of 10 ends were 50+, the other one was 48. I had a 5 and a 6, so there is still some scope for growth.

My #archery today can be summed up as "best day ever". I increased my Portsmouth PB by another 9 points to 522/600. My PB was 497 in Feb and I first shot 500 in Mar. Shot a 57 for the first time. All 60 arrows in the red or better, no blues. The lowest end of 48 is my highest ever low end.
Another good day at #archery with another PB - an increase of 8 to 513/600. I had two "all gold ends", both scoring 56 (equal PB for an end), and the last end had 3 X10s. I hit 35x 9/10/X golds, previous best was 30. And I managed it with a 43 on one end - even better scores to come!
This might look like an ordinary kitchen tap, but it is actually quite special because I have just fitted it! I removed the old tap and even had to chisel out some wood to make room for the new underfixings, and then fit the new one. It even appears not to leak! 💪
I bought a new bow on Monday - an upgrade from a basic Samick traditional bow to a Kinetic Adeo Carbon - so today was my first shoot with it. And I broke the Portsmouth PB I set last week, up from 502 to 505 and 7 ends of 50+ The bow felt good, but I was amazed to do so well on the first go #archery
#Project500 has been completed - my Portsmouth round today was 502/600, so I am really rather pleased. To celebrate, I am going to buy a new bow tomorrow - and as one of the club coaches said, watch my scores plummet!
Frustratingly, #Project500 continues - in the main, I probably shot as well as I ever have, but 3 in the black meant I "only" scored 490. #archery
