Dragon hunter for hire. Will find the Wyvern, Wyrm, Drake, Cockatrice, Salamander or other type causing anxiety in your village or castle. Humane, poetic solutions found every time. Low cost, fast service...
An odd set of arms on a tomb in St John-on-the-Wall in Bristol. Not seen a triple werewolf claw before…
Rock Hopping under Clevedon Pier, watching fish dart about in giant rock pools, exploring rock tumbled caves in the shadows of the cliffs while weighed down with unexpected treasures discovered along the way...
At Stanton Drew this afternoon before a pint in the Druids Arms with my son. No better way to spend a Sunday afternoon…
Off to church on Sunday (not that one, they don’t serve stout with the Eucharist) That’s the parson laid on his back & the bride & groom turned to stone by the devil for dancing on the Sabbath…
Stanton Drew stone circle has a mysterious pull to it. The circle sits on a gentle slope and reveals itself slowly as you approach from the village. The low hills rise up all around, and the horizon drifts above my head. The air is still. In the quiet, I hear low voices, whispers across time...
At Bristol Pride today I met a man with a serious message concerning a gentleman's jewellery pouch! One must ensure that the contents remain in good condition, so check them regularly, and seek help if you notice any changes!
Doors of Bristol...this one got me thinking about flavours. I had a goat curry for supper later from a St Pauls Caribbean Food store. It was outstanding... #Bristol #Adoorable
Doors of Bristol... This dappled destination looks like a desirable discount airbonobo dumpster, but it's probably okay, especially if you don't mind sharing with orcs... #Bristol #Adoorable
A sound system on every street is what's going on in Bristol... you should come and join in!
I'm pretty sure I saw these three in Barcelona back in 1883...
Doors of Bristol. Because it's Thursday and I like fruit, and doors...
On the cool side of the castle the rat-catcher waits in the shade, dipping in & out of the dungeon, that is now the store for the alchemist, acceptably cold all year round for her potent potions, & dragon tears wrung from poetry, that never freeze, even in the deepest winters, all this the cat knows
From the silt at the bottom of the pond, through waters darkened by the abundance of lily pads, the buds burst forth to bloom for three days in glory...
Here is my cat. Look at him. He is a floof... but he has razor paws!
Dover is where the Deep becomes Shallow, & Narrow, where ships depart every half hour on an eternal rotation, a revolving pattern that somehow I enjoy, sometimes turning up & rolling straight onto a boat & into a seat, to watch the land diminish in one direction, & become a promise in the other...
I am crossing the Deep, which is also pretty Wide, and all is quiet, little stirs beneath the low rolling waves below the pale blue sky, but still, I keep a watch...
It's been a while since I reminded the #Booksky wonderverse that I have a book that peeps can read. A tale told over 101 brief chapters, featuring dragons, dryads, bandits, kings and a talking cat... Mandorlinfiore and the Dragons of Zonza www.barnesandnoble.com/w/mandorlinf...
A little bit of comic genius to brighten this corner of the webness... love this artist...
The Devil's Bridge is a quiet, cold place that sits at the bottom of a deep holloway, & remains chilly even in midsummer. One day, I will tell the tale of my visit. One day, when the ashes & embers of what happened are blown on the wind...one day. #booksky
Here's a picture of my book for you to enjoy. My daughter, the fieldworking zoology scientist, painted the dragons, and was careful to ensure they were anatomically correct. Being born in Sussex, she knows something about dragons...
The ice-dragon arrives exactly on schedule, the same day, every year, but we still act surprised, as if this is a new thing, as if the ice-dragon is an unfamiliar invader, marauding over the land, blasting the roads, freezing the forests before hiding herself away in the mountain caves. She is here.
I haven't been here for a while, what with the world making me engage with it in real time, outdoors and everything, meanwhile I'm missing these little guys on #Caturday meow
