Spotted a really nice Raleigh bike in its home city yesterday. 501 tubing and everything, we all wanted these as kids. #cycling
There’s a sale on at @pimoroni.com so of course the shipping ship brings more GFX Pack kits that I use for #micropython workshops. Not pictured but also bought on sale: USB cables and loot boxes to complete the kits.
This weekend I visited the Ramsgate Micro Museum - they have a similar PC to what I was using at the time. My first job when I got a driving license was delivering 3” disks, paper and printer ribbon supplies to all the local small businesses that had the PCW like the one on the right.
This weekend I actually saw an Amiga 3000 in person for the first time since the 1990s. Always wanted one of these, still do! @gammitin.bsky.social
Passed by a pub that has a meat raffle whilst out and about this weekend! 😳 Ramsgate.
Zoom in and look at the absolute concentration / focus from the one we call chicken dinner cat as he’s seen something in next door’s garden. Not my cat but he’s here a lot.
Thanks for reading and glad you enjoyed it! I currently have this one that someone else built but once a few things settle down I would love to get a similar Peugeot frame and do it again. Growing up in Nottingham having a Peugeot was a bit of a no no lol.
That happened to me on one of the first rides on this bike that I built / refurbished. Turned out I had a little more to learn 😂. Fixed it and it went on to work great for years.
Recent “art installation” around our way. It arrived during the England defeat and I like to think that’s part of the artist’s intent somehow 😂
Did you miss Eurovision back in May, or just want to relive the excitement of the night and listen to the songs? Check out my new @grafana.bsky.social dashboard using Google Sheets, SQL Expressions & tabbed layouts to get to the bottom of how it all went down: play.grafana.org/d/eurovision...
Yep it's hot outside. If you're in Great Britain and want to know what the generation mix of the electricity you're trying to cool the house with is right now, I made a @grafana.bsky.social dashboard for that: play.grafana.org/d/siw7lpj/uk...
I am not a Ford person at all but I needed a small van so got this Ka ex BT for cheap. It was a total hoot to drive on windy roads to work and back and made a good dog car too.
Had coffee at a place that also offers clothing design and printing.
I spent a little while updating my @grafana.bsky.social and Redis plane tracker project to point the aircraft icons in the right direction. Next I want to use separate icons for wide and narrow bodies and a special icon for quad jets.
We had some not our cat drama on the shed roof yesterday with incumbent “chicken dinner cat” having to fight off a challenge for the roof position from newcomer “faded tabby cat”. Chicken dinner (pictured and named as it comes whenever we make chicken with the back door open) remains king for now.
I solve a lot of problems with blu tack and hot melt glue 😀 After a short conversation and a quick demo I got this project through TSA airport security once.
I have considered spraying the cap with plastidip for visibility. I used to do this with spare sets of headlight surrounds when I had an MX-5.
Gave the Yeti a pre service check over and fluids. Reminded of the stupid AdBlue filler location on these cars too. At 72k miles I expect it to need some brake pads and probably a shock absorber tomorrow.
Bad picture but here’s tonight’s first leg as seen from the lounge (not allowed closer to the glass). Old livery Etihad 777-300 - same one that brought me here. HAN-AUH.
