I now own the pair of gen 2 games that got released in South Korea :3 (they didn’t get Crystal) I got them separately, and to find decent-ish prices I had to sleuth Korean second-hand sale sites and use a proxy service to buy them on my behalf and ship them to France.

I recommend deselecting all languages in this menu, in settings -> languages By restricting your feed to one language you can miss posts from people who forget to change their language, or amazing art posts that have body text in a language different than the one you have selected.
pisses me off so much how people think of anything below 8/10 is shit that's not worth playing so much that their ego gets offended whenever a game they liked gets below that grade. You can like a 6/10 it's fine.

Set up arbitrary code execution on my Korean copy of Pokémon Silver and injected a RAM editor. I can now make this game do anything I want :3
I did ACE on my Crystal save file and now have a RAM editor so I changed the player character color value directly in memory to be a green boy. Which to me, is non-binary lol It resets after you wipe out or when certain story flags trigger, unfortunately.

Got a couple of Korean Pokémon games recently. They have a few quirks and an interesting release history and I really wanted to have them in my collection.
I wouldn’t bet my life on it since I can’t see it from up close but I don’t see a battery and there seems to be a chip with vertical pins behind the label, which doesn’t match a real PCB
