As we are shipping out the collectors editions. We are sending them as fast as we can. Someone sent me this as I don't have Facebook. But seeing this about the physical editions I made makes me happy and why I love doing this. I don't like to dox people even if it's nothing but positive.

Colossal Cave Collectors Edition in the UK
So if the words 'plugh' or 'xyzzy' (I think I spelt that right :-) mean anything to you then you must have played the computer game Colossal Cave. Its got a massive history both with me and universally so I was really pleased when it was remade a while ago (here: www.colossalcave3d.com).
Well now l've even more pleased that you can get a collectors edition, in all sort of variations, and 1 am really proud that I'm the first in the UK to get one !!!
I can't tell you how pleased I am with it - and no I'm not associated with the company and no I'm getting absolutely no recompense for this post - I'm just absolutely thrilled with the item, want it to do well and want to let people know you can get one too.
l've attached lots of pics of the contents so you can see for yourself. If Colossal Cave means anything to you then you have to have one of these :-)

My first joint press release with @drguillotine.bsky.social. As you guys know I am a huge fan of physical media. Regular physical editions to game should never be limited. Physical Games are important to the fans and for preservation.

At Guillotine Games and Ye Old Press, we remain firmly committed to physical media.
As we prepare to release our Colossal Cave Collector's Edition, we're disappointed by reports that Sony may move away from physical discs with future PlayStation hardware.
We believe physical editions matter to collectors, preservationists, and players who want to truly own the games they purchase.
We believe that physical availability should never be dictated by arbitrary deadlines. While our Collector's Editions are intentionally limited in number, our standard physical editions will never be restricted in this way. We recognize that players discover and fall in love with games long after their initial launch, and we want to ensure that those players always have the opportunity to own a physical copy whenever they choose.
We'll continue to do everything in our power to release our games in physical form whenever possible. Physical media isn't just a product; it is part of preserving gaming history, and that's a commitment we intend to keep.

It's going to take about another 2 weeks to finish up the West of Loathing Collectors Wooden Edition. Someone asked me why I am not using AI to help me finish it sooner. Why? That would take all the fun out of designing and making it. Oh well I am having fun here is a WIP Event card for an update.

After this Weekend I'll be working on my personal West of Loathing The Wood, the Bad, and the Splintery Collectors edition. I'll include the Game+DLC+OST and I'm making a Mini Tabletop RPG version of the game. The Rule book is done. Everything will be made out of wood including the CD jewel cases

I am designing the Official Mystery House Physical Edition now. Coming up with amazing ideas. I want all my projects to be unique. I want everything I make to be awesome, unique and really be part of the games identity. You can make a box but I want a box with attitude.

This is the biggest Collectors Edition I made. As soon as I figure out how to mass produce them they will be going on sale. I put so much into this and to know this is an official physical edition people will buy is so awesome. I love that it offers many unique goodies and not some stupid keychain.

You should see my Cutting Boards I did to dial in settings. I design physical editions for games, music and what ever people want. I do the design and prototyping before we outsource it. I love doing the design and prototyping. This laser cutter is going to make my life so much fun.

Such a great game. I am shocked how much I love the pixel remasters. Yeah there are a few issues here and there but overall its an amazing experience. FF4-6 are my favorite SNES games. Hell its my favorite physical edition I made to date.

I been working hard on the Open ABF(Audio Book Format). I have a lot to talk about and didn't want a 30 page Thread so I made this text image. I have the logo and how everything works. I am excited for this and hope people use it.

I’ve been working hard on ABF (Audio Book Format), and I’m planning to release it on GitHub in the next week or so.

I want ABF to be open source and built around an open format.

The idea is simple: an audiobook format that can display the book text while the audio plays. You can listen, read along, or just read the book by itself.

ABF is made to use real audiobooks read by human narrators, along with the EPUB. The app does not generate audio from text. I know I can’t stop people from doing that on their own, but that is not what my app is being made for. I want ABF to support real authors and real audiobook voice narrators.

Right now, I have a player/reader and a format maker for creating ABF books.

Each ABF book can also have its own standalone book app. You can launch it directly, and it is already made for that specific book. That same book app can be imported into the desktop Library app, or into the self-hosted web Library app so you can access it from other devices.

The Library apps are meant to keep your ABF books organized, remember your progress, support bookmarks, and let you listen, read along, or read from different devices.

The format maker can also create an ISO, so the book can be burned to a disc. The CD can still play in any CD player that supports MP3, but it also holds the text, artwork, and data the app needs.

The reader also supports JavaScript animations, images, or both for backgrounds. You can use premade backgrounds, make your own, or turn them off.

I wanted all of it to work together in a way that feels simple and useful.

I am still so proud of this collectors edition chest I did for Colossal Cave. I feel like this is some of my best work. This thing is a tank too. I feel this will last a very very long time.
