Reading, sleeping, or playing with cats. Occasional forays to the cinema or concerts. Unpaid carer to OH for 30 years this year. 📚 😴 🐈 🎥 🎶
I also wrap carefully - tissue paper when folding, wrap in pretty tissue, handwritten thank you card, small packet of Skittles, then in a ziplock bag before the mailing bag to minimise the chance the item can be damaged, which (as well as me enjoying it) means I have lots of positive feedback
Morning ☺️ Have now made enough (between Vinted clothes sales and a few bits and pieces I boxed up and sent to Vintage Cash Cow) to pay for a private water taxi from the airport to the dock of my hotel on the Grand Canal on my first trip to Venice! 🚤
Oh my! That is WAY too many spiders for me! European Garden Spiders, according to Google Lens
Morning ☺️ Jupiter (who never chooses to snuggle with any of the other cats) is continuing his run as Very Good Boy by letting Teddy invade his personal space
Jupiter is still being a very good boy and admirably demonstrating how comfy and unthreatening the cat carrier is
The Bluesky search function seems non-existent this morning - I had replied to Caroline, pic attached as too long to add below!
Morning all - quiet day yesterday, coffee with a friend and lots of self-care, pics attached of birds heard as I was sitting by the open window relaxing and enjoying the view just before dusk (also heard robin just after the recording had finished)
I’m still trying to collect ‘glimmers’ every day, one of yesterday’s was this twilight view from my Premier Inn window
Hi everyone, son was well enough to remember his iphone password yesterday so that’s a big improvement! Baby steps but such a big improvement on a week ago. I’m still doing some work on his flat nearly every day, small doses so as not to set off my sacroiliac dysfunction. Only 2 books read in March.
Books read in February below; I am hardly getting any reading done just now, concentration skills are zero
In case anyone else might be interested, I have been uploading pics to ChatGPT, asking it to analyse each piece individually and how it fits into my preferred look, then summarise; I’ll attach a pic of the album of jackets in my phone with the final AI analysis of them at the end.
ChatGPs best effort (still showing a bit I think but I only made one request and didn’t ask it to try again)

Morning 😊 December’s books listed below; 101 altogether. There are a few novellas in there but also quite a few 800-odd page tomes so I’m not going to feel bad about them!
Look on the bright side, if it wasn’t groceries - including four loaves which went out of date on 12th December, and five fruit cakes (I do not like fruit cake) - then you have done better than me.
Morning 😊 Just realised I forgot to post the books I read in November yesterday, so here they are:
Morning 😊 Finally set up new heated laundry airer yesterday - quite a faff getting everything on it tho so I can see myself still mostly using the radiators! Very rainy and wet here, think I’ll light the stove and do some reading. Books read in October in pic:
Morning 😊 Blood test this afternoon then cinema to see Islands. Chicken and veg soup and sourdough baguette for tea, both home made and dropped off for me by my lovely friend 😊 Books read last month below:
I know, it must be uncomfortable! Her tail is the size of a whole cat and I think she only grooms it herself 😆
Morning 🙂 Woke with a migraine so currently lying in the dark with an ice pack on my head. Need to phone the work absence line. August’s reading below:
Morning 😊 No sign of (or word from) washing machine engineer yesterday *sigh*. Very tired yesterday and today, just a bit stressed I think, nothing urgent to do so will have a couple of quiet days. Didn’t get much reading done at the beginning of July due to the tennis but caught up later:
Wow that’s great to know! I’ll need to try it, and will make sure that it’s olive oil I use. My matted monster rarely looks sleek, more like someone backcombed him then dragged him through a hedge backwards, so that would be a nice change 😆 Pic of said boy (Jupiter) below
Morning 😊 Heard lots of loud twittering outside my upstairs landing window yesterday, sneaked up tans peeked out, and saw baby swallows! They spent ages trying their wings out on short flights before finally all flying away. Didn’t manage to get a pic of them all at the same time.
