flying update: landing flare technique finally clicked for me and i can pretty reliably touch down smoothly, which means it's time to get ready to solo! also did my first flight through the special flight rules VFR corridor straight over the top of LAX and wowwww, what a view

still working on landing technique but it’s getting there! everything else is great — doing a good job with situational awareness and staying ahead of the airplane, and the views are simply incredible

pilot school update: made three very solid landings, including one in a gnarly 15 knot wind! also flew over my apartment again and got shockingly close to a 777 on its way to LAX

flying lesson on friday started with my CFI using her IFR rating to get us up on top of a low cloud layer and… my god, the moment we broke through the top was breathtaking
