Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. Tiny, wheezy, hilarious little guys. a really fun bird for me as they don’t live where I live.
Sage Thrasher, not to keep harping on all their songs but I think part of why drabber birds are under appreciated is because people don’t bother to learn or appreciate the sounds around them. Like all thrashers, a long jumbled run on song that seems to keep going for a long time.
Brewer’s Sparrow. I know somewhat brown but trust me compared to all the other Spizella’s (their genus) they have a very gray appearance. Also iconic song, been finding lots of their tiny nests this year. adorable slept on sparrow #🪶
Sagebrush Sparrow. Possibly one of my favorite sagebrush songs to hear. muted, almost mumbling, soothing to me.
