We saw a mysterious mustelid near Nada Lake on our Enchantments hike. The encounter stuck with me, so i wanted to try and sketch the sighting from memory.

Color sketch if a forest with heavy tree blow down. A large mustelid stands in the center. The suspect was most likely a large male fisher with his tail shortened from an injury.

More photos cause i cant stop thinking about it.

This section didnt have a name but it was one of our favorites. Lots of little streams running over rocks, brook trout swimming openly, wildflowers scattered around mossy patches. Almost felt fake it was so beautiful.

Got lucky and won a permit to go backpacking in the Enchantments 🏔️ One of the hardest hikes I’ve ever done, but more than worth it to spend three nights in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.

My light-purple adventuring hat got so sun bleached it almost looked white, so I re-dyed it. I love revitalizing over replacing~

the post-dyed hat look. love that the natural fibers took to the dye but the polyester sewing is still light in color.

Character design sketches, expanding on the ones I liked best from that last page of scribbles. The idea for the story is exploring the friendship between a trapped immortal art god and a mortal who lives freely in their artwork. #ocs #divineinspo

Goodbye Iceland! I’ll think fondly of this adventure for the rest of my life 🇮🇸💕

Our camper van, a renault trafic, parked at a campsite in the northeast of Iceland. I miss her already.

A pair of atlantic puffins outside their burrow. Took this with my phone, we got SO CLOSE to SO MANY puffins. Absolutely unforgettable.

A random view of farmland at the base of some mountains in the east fjords. Tiny sheep can be seen by the river. I loved getting these views on our drive.

This is phenomenal! I bet painting it was a joy. The fairyland loop trail is one of my favorite hikes. Actually painted on the trail in similar conditions a few years ago and couldnt finish before i had to flee the lightning. 🤣
