I am the flogger of undead horses. Specifically Welsh, undead, yuletide ones that eat cake, toast and cider. Otherwise known as the mari lwyd! Everyone is welcome here!
A mari based off of Maria from Metropolis (or Maripolis?) with slight embellishments
Hi #PortfolioDay Nothings changed, I still draw undead horses with a perchant for fashion. (Inspired by the mari lwyd) Influenced heavily by Aubrey Beardsley and Harry Clarke Need an undead horse? I can fulfill that need!
I had an idea for a drawing the other day, but have promptly forgot. So… i looked at Erte again and cobbled this together. Not bad after a full day at work!
Here is the finished mari duo based on Jan Van Eyck’s painting I was sent. The original is underneath this.
No Supermarket Cat today. But a googly eyed cleaning robot and a lone melting jaffa cake left in the car park are shown instead
Speaking of Faust, the worst ever theatre performance I ever saw was Dr. Faustus with Kit Harrington. It was bad, so bad. Started off with two naked people on stage and later with Kit playing the air guitar

I was very tempted to by this book just for the cover - look at the gold stonehenge!
In 2020 I went to a ceramics exhibition called Beyond the Vessel, and one of the ceramicists I loved was Vivian Van Blerk. His work often opened up, like puzzles. I kick myself I never got a piece before his death.
This was the inside of the church, when you "could" just hop a fence. Last year.
The good thing is they have mowed so was able to see the graves better
Went up to St. Marys (the abandoned church in Tintern) hoping to hop the fence, but they have blocked it with a gate!

I have decided the Devil is a leg man. By the time they reach him they would have thighs to die for. Thats why my stubby legs dont catch his eye!
I was going to see St. Erasmus' entrails today, but friends invited me out! Gonna hopefully commune with the devil, though prob will get lost again (first big jaunt since cobble)
I thought I had seen her work before! Back in 2020/21 I saw her work at a ceramics exhibition - Beyond the Vessel with included the work of Sophie Woodrow I think and the late Vivian Van Blerk heres some images from the programme.
Next book is a long one: They Flew A history of the impossible 400 pages of small text. eeek
Has anyone been to the Zurbarán exhibition at the National Gallery? If you have, do you recommend it?
