I got a part-time gig as a museum guard at the Worcester Art Museum! Here's me doing that and a similar gig at the Guggenheim 10(!) years ago!
Yup. Another location was announced in the news some time ago. As of last week the new location wasn't listed on the site (I don't think). But here's the sign!
At this particular establishment, it's just a sampler of various foods like kielbasa, galumpki, pierogi, etc. "Two up" are two hot dogs with chili, onions, etc. at George's Coney Island Hot Dogs, a local institution.
Sadly, I'll be giving up my studio at the end of June. If you'd like to see all my paintings in one place, then we can set up a time to visit or you can stop by on June 13, which is the next 75 Webster Street Open Studios.
I was impressed that Google prioritized the women's hockey game tonight, when I asked "when does the puck drop tonight". Then I realized it had one of the teams wrong. (Ottawa is playing Montreal in the PWHL finals)

Given the state of the nation, I'd say the mall in this picture has had a fairly American experience.
The nice thing about crumbling infrastructure is that it's a window into local history. Here is a rail, revealed by road degradation, in downtown Worcester Mass. Is it an old trolley rail? Should we just let these roads rot until we can run trolleys downtown again?
