Commercial photographer on the Isle of Skye. Never let rain, wind, midges or campervans get in the way of a shot...
Once it was a soggy wreck. Now it is a super comfy, hugely stylish and much sought after holiday house.... And photographed by us.
The blue House in Portree. It's pretty special... And a short walk from the wee Co-Op. What more do you want?
The Skye View Hotel has had quite the refurb. I like photographing something fresh out of the box. All the fresh paint makes me feel like royalty.
Avernish Lodge gets the Skye Commercial Photography Big Tick of Approval.
"Small changes" "Dependable" Insultingly lazy spinning of, "We are now delivering mail half as often as we used to. Utter horse shit. Total bollocks. Piss poor service as standard. If everyone is going to get 2nd class delivery within 3 days fuck knows how long it take to reach the Inner Hebrides.
You take picture, you think it's pretty good, then a bunch of picture desks agree. Which is nice.
4 years and 2 months ago I said, very firmly, that 2 dogs were enough. Heres to 4 years of Number 3... #adoptdontshop
I'm glad that calmer heads are prevailing at the moment but just in case... Also this is an example of when Only An Excuse was a radio based work of genius.
Telling a property's story in one image is important. It's what we always do. One image that can be the front page, the album cover or the poster for what you are trying to convey. Something that sums up the house, pod, hotel etc... in one quick glance. All that and so much more for £195 an hour. .
Kyle of Lochalsh RNLI Station Maritime Day. Saturday May the 23rd 12 noon. It's going to be a ridiculously great day!
Did I kneel down in a tidal bog to get this shot? Yes. Did I have a very wet knee? Yes. Was it at the far end of my dog walk? Yes. Was it uncomfortable walking the length of our village with a soggy knee? Yes. Do I do this a lot? Yes. Have I ever thought better of doing this? Nope.
The rare joy of photographing while the sun shines over Skye and Lochalsh.
Fuck's sake. Suggestions for sugar... Is this the level of stupid that we are aspiring to now? What's next? Toilet roll - have you tried wiping your arse with some? Potatoes - for best results boil or bake. Petrol -ideal as an accelerant not so much as a condiment.
Our dogs are so not interested in sitting with us and watching the world go by that we had to rent one for this shot...
Not often you get 4 lifeboats and a coastguard tug in the same place at the same time. The welcome to your new home celebration for Portree's new RNLI lifeboat.
Portree RNLI got a new lifeboat on Saturday. There was quite the show when it arrived. Our Kyle ILB and two big comfy ALBs were there to welcome it's arrival with the help of the Coastguard tug The Levoli Black and it's highly photogrenic hoses...
It's time for my pre-election ritual abuse of the Scottish Family Party leaflet. They can very much fling shite at themselves.
