Today when I looked out the window, I discovered that squirrels like mushrooms.
Back in Vegas again for like the 8000th time since my work is HQed here. A little tired of the city but even I admit it can be pretty to look at sometimes.
Today I was supposed to travel from Seattle to Pittsburgh. My connection got canceled so they tried to route me through Houston but weather meant we got diverted to Dallas. So maybe I'll get there by tomorrow afternoon if I'm lucky.
Things you don't want to hear on your long-haul flight: "There's an issue with the aircraft so we're going to dump fuel and head back."
I'm at a tech conference in Vegas and for some reason Hawkeye is part of the opening keynote.
The show was amazing! Backstreet Boys still put on an incredible show, and the Sphere is a really impressive technical achievement.
Got a text out of the blue from my Trump voting father that surprised the heck out of me. A little late now, but at least there’s some introspection. (Though yes, that was EXACTLY what you voted for.)
I get to roleplay as an airport passenger in a new terminal, but without getting to actually go anywhere. And I'm oddly... excited about it?
I now have two separate apps on my phone called HBO Max. WB tried to get rid of the HBO branding, so they discontinued the old app to launch a new app called Max. That branding went so poorly that they had to rename the new app to what the old app was called. Just brilliant work all around.
Another data point: I went to a Loblaw's, which is a major grocery chain in Canada. They have marked every single shelf on every single aisle with "Made in Canada" markers. Hundreds or thousands in each store. They are taking the boycott of US goods VERY seriously. I’m frankly impressed.
