In other design news, I'm making a series of redesigned items from the archives as some kind of way to explore what I like doing best. I had to start the one on the far right from scratch as I didn't like the design direction that I chose, which I may or may not post.
Unused Skyweaver branding assets from May 2026. I rejected this branding direction as I didn't enjoy how the website mockup appeared no matter what I did, and it seemed a little too stereotypical/unoriginal.
looking back at my old bsky redesign, i wonder if I straight up forgot how to design when I made it it looks so muddy, overglossed and bleh!! for the record, I will first post my redesigns of various other projects, and then I will post the entire (re-)redesigned bsky UI.

with all this in mind, my goal with Skyweaver is that it'll be more authentic. not conforming to Reddit or an aesthetic amalgam that sounded Cool on the surface but never worked together. maybe my work will be totally new. maybe it'd not change at all. whatever it is, skyweaver =/= solinus.
i tried to combine skeuo + aero + solarpunk under my Solinus alias but it was just a weird mish-mash of different styles that I tried to force myself into. that weird music player I made back in march of 2025 (and took down)? that was a result of me forcing myself into a style that didn't Work Out.
i literally remember walking at my middle school's hallway looking out to the mezzanine thinking "yea i'll be a graphic designer and make epic skeuo!" and i wonder i stuck to that idea for far too long. i did like making skeuo/aero stuff but i kinda let that define me.
