I love books, movies and video games. I also do content on some of that stuff.
I’m so glad people are giving GRRM shit for ruining the fantasy fiction genre by being a lazy ass bum.
Hats off to Gamesir on this G7 Pro 8k. Definitely the best results in polling rate, stick latency, and stick drift I've ever seen. Even ridiculous performance on 2.4Ghz wireless and Bluetooth.
Due to a work emergency, we won't be having DPS Podcast tonight. The show is being rescheduled to tomorrow. Enjoy your night everyone.
Been hooked on Crimson Desert for nearly 100 game hours, and yet I still feel like I barely scratched the surface. I'll probably hit a mental wall and golden path the rest of the game at some point, but the exploration and rewards from that have kept me engaged.
My settings for Crimson Desert right now. Playing it at 4k DLSS Performance, Ray tracing and Ray Recontruction on. DLSS 4.0.
Finally tried out the Pragmata demo. Pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Combat is pretty unique and I can see how they can build off what they showed in the demo. I played it on PC at 4k DLSS Quality with FG on, and I got 120-150fps in gameplay and 75-90fps in full native 4k cutscenes.
#12: The Outer Worlds 2 (PC): OW2 is better than the previous in visuals & combat, but not as good in story and compelling characters. I do think the story picked up significantly in the last Act. Overall, OW2 is a good WRPG that is just short of great. #gamesbeat2025
#11: Dispatch (PC): Adhoc Studios, a team of former Telltale devs, have created the best kind of Telltale, narrative driven experience you can get. Strong storytelling and voice acting made this experience an immediate play every time an episode dropped. #gamesbeat2025
#10: The Outer Worlds (PC): For my replay of this game, I decided to do a melee-focused, Dum-Dum character that turned out to be a lot of fun. Forgot how good the writing was in this game, and for my first doing the DLCs, they were both quality expansions. #gamesbeat2025
#9: Borderlands 4 (PC): I was concerned that Gearbox could no longer make a good Borderlands game after BL3 and TTW. Yet this is the second best Borderlands game, only BL2 is better. A very different tone in writing was necessary, which lead to a far superior story compared to BL3. #gamesbeat2025
#8: Borderlands 2 (PC): Ran through this one this time with the Gunzerker. Can I beat Borderlands 3 before Borderlands 4 launches? Probably not lol. #gamesbeat2025
Some early gameplay of Borderlands 4. I’m really enjoying the combat and it’s exactly what this franchise needed. But the performance needs a lot of work, very poorly optimized on PC.
#7: Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (PC): Probably beat this one faster than any Borderlands game. Did it in like 17 hours and at level 26. While someone never getting a single legendary to drop. Playing as Nisha was pretty fun. Onto the GOAT, Borderlands 2! #gamesbeat2025
@ramonterrell.bsky.social This is what I mean between the Pictos and your active Luminas.
#6: Borderlands: GOTY Edition (PC): Kinda mad at myself for taking so long to get through this, but it was a bit of a slog compared to the other games in the franchise. Onto The Pre-Sequel! #gamesbeat2025
So I'm off work today because I'm going to the Commanders game with my son. Decided to test all of my controllers for input latency, error rate %, and polling rate because I'm bored. Results were fascinating.
When you run out of ammo, randomly pickup a gun off the ground and find out it's awesome lol
DPS Podcast will be postponed until next week. See you guys next Thursday.
Had a lot of fun with Battlefield 6. Not sure how much time I’ll have this weekend but I’ll try to get in as many matches as I can.
Come join us tonight for @gamingforte.bsky.social playing Death Stranding again! Getting started at 10:30PM EST. LINK: t.co/GJb9uDu2fW
#5: Dark Deity 2 (PC): A surprisingly good SRPG that despite the smaller budget, was able to deliver a good story, engaging combat, and characters you grow to care for. I never played the first game, but after beating this one, I may have to rectify that. #gamesbeat2025
This all knives build in Cyberpunk is pretty good despite dealing with a bug introduced in the 2.3 update. Headhunter + Fang + Blue Fang, and the right build setup should make sure you never run out of knives to throw. Either way, I added the Maxtac Mantis Blades if I ever do.
I said I wasn't gonna do it, but then I went and did it anyway lol.
#4: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PC): Best RPG I've played in years.Sandfall is the kind of developer I was talking about when people were concerned about the mainstays fading away. There are always newcomers who make their mark, Sandfall is one of them. #gamesbeat2025
