I used that DryLock waterproof paint on an outside concrete wall once because it just looked splotchy. The wall looked good for about a week, then started peeling like this until most of it was gone. You can't just paint damp concrete. Dumbasses did it though. (Mine cost 50 dollars btw)
I had never heard of it and was in a bookstore one day, and saw this cover. I absolutely had to buy it. One of the best covers ever IMO. I've loved the book ever since. It's so ... weird. But we all have a bit of Merricat in us I think.
