I run a produce store, a florist, a wine shop, and mostly post about bike lanes. 📍Hyde Park, Chicago
Here's an important legal notice I sent, required by contract. Sender and recipient both in Chicago. 6/26: Mailed in Chicago 6/27 - 7/2: ??? 7/3: It's in Philadelphia 7/2 - 7/5: ??? 7/6: It's in Santa Barbara 7/8: It's back in Chicago, delivered same day Thank god for the mailbox rule lol.
We need some more transit-oriented 70mm film IMAX. 4x time penalty to see THE ODYSSEY in its native format versus driving.
Lol Englewood is not primarily Hispanic. I think it has gone from like ~1% to ~10% over the past 20 years, which I'm sure feels like a big shift on the ground. (There may be pockets or specific blocks where the shift was even greater.) Keep in mind overall the population is cratering.
What's your logic here? None of the exits around here connect to state roads.
Did they forget to order umbrellas? Looks like a very hot place to sit. Maybe they shouldn't have cut down all the mature trees where they were trying to put an outdoor plaza.
Here’s the one in the yard of the mixed use walk up building my bar is going into (about 30 apartments and then retail on first floor). Serviced by the landlord, not the city.
Sometimes they're accessible through the basement, or aren't marked "grease trap". There may be grandfathered buildings, not sure when they were required. Restaurants often have smaller units directly under the dishwashing sinks if the building doesn't have one.
Looks like any civil servant abroad for work. The combination of (1) no overseas voting and (2) no fixed election cycle is extremely undemocratic.
Why is 44 minutes really important? It makes the time on par with driving, instead of a roughly 2x time penalty.
I decided to actually engage with one of this AI texting bots that helps me with my online order, just to try it out. I was honest with my feedback.
This is the one I’m old enough to remember. There’s no way that correctly giving someone a second yellow for a voluntary yellow offense they did knowing they were already on a yellow is somehow worse than missing honest to god goals.
Divvy map is having a fever dream and has moved the 57th & Kenwood station up to 56th & Lake Park, a place that used to have a station that later got moved to 57th & Lake Park.
Unfortunately I am not kidding. Leads to insane dwells on crowded buses as people fight their way to the door.
This is the IFAB rule on VAR review of goals. "This may include how the attacking team gained possession of the ball"
Yeah I can't figure out why they call it the world's sport. (Blue = countries where it's the most popular sport.)
The #55 Garfield has been running at least one of the battery electric buses the last few days. First time I’ve seen them on the south side.
We got overnight E/W bus routes on 87th, 79th, 63rd, 55th, and then......Madison??
