This dog wagon is comically large but he seemed to enjoy riding in it. If not, he enjoyed how much the six year old was sulking about not getting to ride in it.
I probably should have taken a picture of the happy gloating face when I put the dog in the car and he got to leave my ass on the street he didn't want to walk on. Instead I have this one, where he's planted his legs in such a way that he is as immobile as Nibbler's shit
The kid put this bandana on the dog last night and it is the only time he’s tolerated such a thing. He seems so proud.
Starting to feel like I shouldn’t be sitting on these metal bleachers
I promised @betsyphillips.bsky.social I would wear this shirt to coffee then forgot because I got dressed in a mad dash to get the trash to the street (I got outside as they were driving away).
We have been using one of these beds in our six year old’s room since she was two. After four years of storing the second frame unassembled, we assembled it a few hours ago to free up closet space. This was a mistake.
This Street View picture was taken in December, so just imagine a sea of thatched umbrellas in the front yard.
The elementary school GroupMe blew up the night the robocall informed us of this.
@betsyphillips.bsky.social It looks like they've labeled something between the current Shelby Bottoms Nature Center and Demonbreun's cave as "City Island"?
I knew the old Rosebank Dairy (eventually a Purity Dairy supplier) was on the site at the north end of the Shelby Bottoms greenway, but this indicates there was a school?? Anyone know where I can learn more about this? Source: www.facebook.com/groups/75363...
This is the best I could do with a contiguous territory / these block groups
At least this isn't happening at midnight or during a protest? globe.airplanes.live?icao=ae50be
How hectic were things as we left for this softball game, do you ask?
Since 5 pm: Finally used my Cricut to cut names out of some sport vinyl, then ironed them onto tiny polyester visors with minimal scorch marks. Then marked in the yard where the narrow evergreens that arrived today should go. Then all but wrapped up the kid’s robot costume for tomorrow.
I do question why he tried to steal a whole cheese stick yesterday, though. This video of the previous cheese stick sharing shows he was getting HALF of each bite she took.
I try to let the dog live his life but this does not look comfortable.
Went to Five Points Pizza on Charlotte (home of the second locations™️) last night and saw this
Delivered Girl Scout cookies to @lesleyest.bsky.social and didn’t get five minutes down the road before being asked when we’re going back.
Stephen went over to drip the faucets for the neighbors who moved, and took this picture of a tree that fell into the street.
Every few seconds there’s a pop-pop and then a BOOM as ice covered branches snap and fall. The dog came out with me when I stepped out the back door to assess this / take this picture. The crown of a neighbor’s tree snapped off loudly and he noped back inside without peeing.
Now that we’re back in town, I’m going to brag on my five year old who handled this walking yesterday like a champ AND followed it with a game called “super girl,” which involved leaping onto the hard hotel couch
