Reminder it's important to get that dead and dreaming elder god back down to the inky ocean depths ASAP, barotrauma is no joke.

Barotrauma and Recompression
A specialized gas filled organ called a swim bladder is sensitive to change in pressure, and expands when brought to the surface.

When returned to the depth in which the rockfish was caught, the symptoms of barotrauma are reversed and chance of death is reduced.

Rockfish inhabit many different depths along California's Coast. As depth increases, so does the water pressure.
Species of rockfish have adapted to live in varying depths and can be negatively impacted when extracted from their environment.

Took this spicy girl to the vet today for a check up. Thyroid is ok and her kidney values are stable! She's still anemic though so we will be trying an oral medication that apparently helps them produce red blood cells. It's a liquid so that will be fun 😬 She's 19 years old. I can't believe it! 😭

The second floor really shows off the "unique" construction!

The back view is more house-like. Barely

Back of the house. The very back actually has siding on it with the fabric of the roof (yes, FABRIC) draped over the edge. The windows are reminiscent of Groverhouse. Under the house is a steal beam foundation which holds the first floor about a story and a half from the ground at the back. Under the first floor is an open platform

View from the rear of the house a lot closer than the previous picture. You get a great view of the "house-meat", aka fiberglass insulation under the floor. Did I mention I'm standing outside for this picture??

There's a very nice canyon behind the house, too bad it's a fire zone

Learning Akkadian and it's so weird to me that a lot of nouns go from male gender in the singular to female gender in the dual or plural. Like, it's weird to me (an English speaker) a thing like "legal decision" would have a gender other than neutral ("it"), and now you're changing it???

Many nouns that are masculine in the singular become feminine
the plural, such as dinum 'legal decision', pl. dinatum; igārum 'wall', pl. igarātum.
