I'm about to be so annoying. Added a new screen to my side hustle mgmt dashboard. Nightly I get a curated list (actual hard part) of research I want to read — but as a list in this content editor. I can literally read, write, and share in the same space. No more juggling 9 apps to share cool stuff.

Non thesis update. I designed a tool that makes research safer and less stressful for animals. They'll be talking about it at a conference before it gets published.
Can't finish my master's thesis any time soon. That hurts after a month of nonstop effort. But I refuse to live life isolated from the world while waiting on resources in a research lab. I won tickets to a Liberty game. Obviously did not enter the Yankees raffle.
I did not finish my thesis today chat. 🫤 I'm at about 60 pages. I wrote 4 about this figure alone and have about 4pg left. Sequestration continues but not likely to last all week.
We did it Joe! My thesis device is measuring lactate production by about 250 cells in a bead a little over 200 microns in diameter. I will defend the shit out of this!!
Ready for some supernerd shit chat? For my thesis I built a device that can "see" cells metabolize pyruvate and produce lactate. Yes the same lactate us marathon runners loathe. Hard to see in that crazy web of lines but as pyruvate disappears more lactate shows up.

I promise to shut up about my thesis soon. I made a "thingy" and it can observe metabolism in cells. But... that observation stops when I put the cells in these beads. I need to run one more test, then I will shut up.
I can't get anything done right now. But it's okay if the Knicks come back. Still thrilled about my new home... and that I can watch sports with no cable or subscription. I'll unpack my last box after my thesis is done. This game is keeping me from thesis figures. LFG Knicks!!

Not one to chastise people over the meaning of the holiday. I didn't even go visit teammates. They'd want you all to have hot dogs and beers and cookouts and playoff sports. I'm positive about this — that's what I'd be doing with them this weekend if they were here.
My fitness app now has a background mode that counts your steps and estimates calories thru the day. Testing while I work out the menu where you pick the features you want.
