a good woim reminded us that we were making a lcars mouse cursor theme at one point and so we guess we're working on that again. We feel we did actually do a good job capturing the originally stated design principles even though a mouse cursor is a very un-strar trek thing

Historically this is a bad approach and a fragile source of optimism. The printing press, textile automation, and the camera were well hated, some to the point of violent direct action, and still became normalized in a generation or two. That was despite the very high cost and rare accessibility.
