Very excited for a #envhum weekend at the Flathead Lake Bio Station. Big thanks to Craig Calender, Karen Kovaka, and the UC San Diego Center for Practical Ethics for making this possible! On the menu: misinformation in the environmental sciences, animal communication, and human-wildlife conflict 🌎
June was quite something this year: first, I organized and hosted the ISEE summer conference; then I traveled to Nebraska with my DD, who worked at the CCHI Lab; then I traveled to Mexico City to deliver two keynote lectures, and finally ran the marathon. I must admit I crashed a bit this week!
You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who's coming to save you? At least I know they’ll get the job done. As for the collateral damages, which I expect to be many, I’ll most likely won’t know a thing about them.
So grateful for last week's experience hosting #ISEE2025! Truly amazing people and scholars. Missoula felt like the perfect place for discussions around Indigenous philosophies, eco-feminism, climate policy, moral consideration beyond the human, and much more. #envhum #philosophy #conservation

As I look at my calendar and to-do list on this Monday morning, I reminisce yesterday’s run… There are just very few things I’d rather be doing than being up there, out of breath, with aching muscles, and a soothed soul. #dogsofbluesky #mountainrun
Hill training day today. Up the mountain we went. #dogsofbluesky
Went for a restorative 12 mile mountain run yesterday. Because sometimes I need my mind to quiet down. #dogsofbluesky #resistance #selfcare
A beautiful day for a hard but joyful mountain run! #dogsofbluesky
Our MA students are fearless! We went to Yellowstone for the weekend and they braved the -30 degree weather to see coyotes, mountain goats, a fox, elk, bison, and the rescue creek pack (wolves). Oh, and we saw two bold eagles on the trip back!

First snow run of the year! Our legs had forgotten how hard it is. #dogsofbluesky
There was snow, finally, in the woods today. So now we snuggle in peace.
Three dogs joining in for my morning run today. They know treats are coming for pausing for the picture.
As I am grading exams and the day light slowly goes out, I want to remind myself of my morning run.
