just to make it fully clear, this is the context. all of the context. the only context.

a thread of posts, starting with our own that was made (this is important) on 11/21/2024:
"while Yui is a great character (and Very Gender, iykyk) but it's always surprising to hear just how popular she is, eclipsing most of the other characters in the game (though to fair, samrem Saber is probably more popular, but no one on jpn fate fandom uses their true name, for obvious reasons)"

the person responding just under a year later, name and pfp removed, says this in three threaded comments:
"SamRem feels like it only really has 3 characters - Iori, Takeru, and Yui. The main duo get the most focus in-game, and Yui gets focus but not as much as them. I really like her concept as a heroine of justice and an Einzbern homunculus, and how she hates the world's unfairness similar to Iori.

Unfortunately, FSR has multiple plot holes that do Yui dirty (her role in the prologue, her leaving in ETD being character regression). I'd rate her higher if not for that.
My friend who played CCC said that has similar plot holes too because of NG+. Seems TM video games are doomed to that.

I wish people would talk more about Yui's character, positive or negative, or the plot holes, because people really only talk about ship drama with her."
