I think I’m just getting older. Interests change over time. After two years here I’m just now coming to terms that this is okay. But I miss you guys and I miss how things used to be.
Like look at this shitty bobblehead of my dude Taijuan Walker. I drove 16 hours in 2016 to get this hunk of polyresin from Clinton, Iowa. CLINTON. IOWA. It’s a prized possession and was worth every mile through those cornfields.
Met so many amazing people this way, like @anorak.bsky.social, who I saw at the M’s game today for the first time in a looooong time. I’ve had some of the best hugs of my life from people I talked to often and could only meet in person occasionally.
For 15 years I tweeted about a mostly terrible/sometimes wonderful baseball team and, when I could save a little bit of extra money, I would take a road trip to a Minor League ballgame or two and share my whole day with you.
I’ve been absent from baseball discourse for a bit now and I still get sweet messages from many of you asking if I’m okay. I am! We’re doing pretty great. But my move home to WA from Little Rock scrambled how I consume/perceive baseball and until recently I didn’t know why. This is Tuco btw
Well that’s painful, but I can’t help but think of my old friend Dez, who is cheering on her boy George Springer from wherever it is that good people go when they pass away. Miss you, love. 💙

In the outfield is this gorgeous shaded alcove lined with tall trees leading to a centerfield bar that makes amazing margaritas (and if you’re feeling it, pickleritas)
