Mid-year rpg ranking! Lots of great titles so far, both in terms of recent releases and stuff from my backlog Lots of branching out too, before this year I'd never finished a Monster Hunter, Mana, Dragon Quest, or Tales game but now I'm fans of all of them!
Dragon Quest 11 is all wrapped up! I hope to (eventually) write a longer review about this one, but I can definitely say I had a great time following the Luminary and their party on their journey to save Erdrea! One of the most jrpg jrpgs to ever jrpg for sure, in the most complimentary way possible

Completed Monster Hunter Stories 3! An amazing game and my entry into the series. Great story, characters, and music. It gets a big recommendation from me!

SMT Demikids is such a silly game Minor spoilers, but it's the SMT Pokémon style-release cash grab, but also has children get executed by a brutal dictator and time travel It's also easy to exploit the merging system so you can become op fast At <12 hours, it needed more time to flesh out its story

Finished Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis. An incredible prequel to the original Tactics Ogre, and super impressive how much game they were able to put on a GBA cart. Apologies for the image quality, I was playing this one on DS, so I couldn't take a screencap and took a picture of the tiny screen

QTP with a game you would instantly buy if it got remastered/remade! Playing through Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis right now (loving it too) and if it got the Reborn treatment I'd buy it in a heartbeat
And that's another jrpg wrapped up! Although I own quite a few Tales games, Graces was the first one to truly hook me and I had a great time running through Ephinea and Fodra with Asbel and his loveable party of goofballs
