He has not so much brain as earwax. Anyone who uses the word “Pesky” ALWAYS gets a like/follow.
"Why don't we stop in the middle of crossing a REALLY BUSY ROAD, to just check and see if there are squirrels over there?" There aren't! - let's go - quickly oh and don't have a shake. "Ermm, why are you are the one taking the photo?!" #SchnauzerGang #DogsOfBluesky
It's International "Jam(!) As Many Strawberrys As You Can On The Tart Day" and we are all in. There was, earlier in the week, a lament for a Strawberry Tart and it was a call that could not go unanswered. Oh, have some Creme Pat going spare if anyone needs it, as ever, happy to it drop by!
It's International "Preparing Cooling Treat's for the Dogginton that is 'Delphi' Day" and we are all in. However, my efforts thus far have not resulted anything approaching a nod of approval - oh dear - such a duffer. #SchnauzerGang #DogsOfBluesky
"Hello, there be any squirrels up there?" "No, we are not up here" "Oh, OK, Have a great day!" "You too!" #SchnauzerGang #DogsOfBluesky
A bit of puff pastry left, a teaspoon of Raspberry jam... "Now?" I am asked, let them cool... wait for it... not yet... a moment more... go go go!
It's International Stuff Peppers day and we are all in. Halved Red Peppers with torn basil and garlic in and then half a large tomato. Season and in the oven for half an hour. Today served with Chicken thighs and Butter Beans. A good food day.
It's International Birch Log Bird Box Day and we are all in. Not my efforts I might add but notes have been made as we think we can pimp those cribs.
D. insisted we have a Pupstop at the pocket sized Remembrance Garden of the Oratory of the Holy Cross on our walk this evening (after putting out neighbours bins). Anywaze… She availed herself of the kindly offered treat box (thank you!) but also left a few for others who may visit this tiny haven.
Next door to today's office was the Commonwealth Cemetery at Botley (I was tending for some other folk). There are around 740 burials here including folk from other countries. Including the only Greek Soldier buried in the UK. I noted that those who start wars, never fight them... odd that.
It's International Hay Bale Inspection Day and D. is running me through basics however... She notes the tension on the twine on the bales over there is way too slack, obv. operator not keeping an eye on the feed spring pulley. Meanwhile I (in training) am just loafing about doing selfies... Oh dear.
For me? Really? Just in case I get a bit chilly (it is 30C/86F!!!). Why thank you - you are the best! Perchance there might be a tummy rub you enquire... you know it.
Sometimes, the old "algorithm" just brings you a moment of joy. Thank you Following people!
Oh oh... it's International Clean Behind the Cooker day and unfortunately we are all in. Still we are well sorted for breadcrumb toppings for quite a while!
Quite often, when I am trying to find Delphi (Miniature Schnauzer... Doggo), I feel much sympathy with Inspector Clouseou. I know it is coming, I can feel the tension in the air. I know once I have been vanquished, am going to have to spend the next 15 mins (more) rubbing someone's tummy. Oh well.
For me? Thank you! Oh, someone tried to break into the house you say and unfortunately this is all that is left of them - their north paw glove sans paw. Oh dear, that must have been quite traumatic for you. However, you thought it might be useful to me? You are the best! (checks for car keys).
Today's Office was the front of a "Posh" House that had Boston Ivy scampering up to the gods. Fortunately the World's Longest Hoe saved me a trip up the ladders.
Ah, ok - kinda of a twig but with more twigs attached. This is new. "I should add it to my private collection" you say. That I shall do, thank you. I know just where to put it. A tummy rub, but of course.
Oh FGS... International Prawn Cocktail Day... again. I swear it gets earlier each year. People dressed as Prawns handing out Paprika in the Supermarkets, never ending adverts on the telebox for our Finest, Best Ever, Specially selected etc. Politicians posing with Lettuces'. Oh well, needs must.
For me? Really? "Kindling for the BBQ you suggest!", You read my mind.
It's International "See what's on some random 8mm film rolls that were 'inherited'... once removed Day" and we are all in! From the early Sixties, "social media" seems no different to now when it comes to PUPPIES! Anywaze... way too much golf and some quite racy Chubby Checker "Twisting".
It's International Spinach & Feta Quiche Day people and we are all in! Me thinks this is a quiche, like all, best served the day after... we shall see. www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/spin...
Saturday's office was a trip to the Theatre in Bath to see the final chapter of Yes, Minister - well worth the wait and the Theatre Royal in Bath is one of our favourites.
