Her ults too also have strong sounds to them as well. Scarlet Ageis having a strong bell strike sound really sounds like a shield bracing for and being hit by an attack - And the burning sound of Divine Reckoning....Purge the wicked indeed.
Oh and who can forget the sound upgrades at 16? Shared Punishment has a much stronger lashing sound when it is chained to multiple people and my favorite Harsh Discipline! SUCH as satisfying chain clinking sound to match the visual and to let you know that the target was rooted.
Now I usually take subjugation on 13 but there is an additional sound for if you land Lashing Out, and it is a very nice bell chime - indicating that spell is ready to go much faster. Again, meaning you never need to actually look at the spell. There's also a harsher sound for Righteous Flame at lv1
Searing lash also has some great sound effects. If you whiff it there is a very sad "plop" sound as it uselessly hits the ground. However, when you hit it you get a very strong "pop" sound indicating a hit. This is then repeated on the second hit for a hit or miss!
There is a distinct "DONG" sound that plays when you cast the spell, it sounds like the deep reverberating bell of a church, something she'd be apart of. But the pitch of this spell grows the more desperation stacks you have as well! You can feel the desperation growing with each cast.
Whitemane is not an easy hero to play, but she is 100% the reason I still stick with HOTS. They gave her a visual bar for her Desperate Plea, but there are also really good sound indicators for it as well. To the point where once you're used to it you don't even need the bar anymore.
There are also much smaller things in her sound design you might almost never hear. Such as the click of her heels on stone, or the tap of her staff as it touches down on the ground when she rests.
...And this one perfectly matches with it. They don't recycle the laugh it is different, one that sounds almost like she pities the person she is casting it on. Or even mocking them. She is NOT having as good of a time and is doing this because it will serve her, not you.
