Heh heh. I misread the headline. Yes, I am definitely of the thinker type explosive diarrhea.
SongSpider: A generative music tool I created last night. This one gets weird :) sounddr.ca/art/web.html

It all sorta comes out sounding like a drunk R2D2, but this was fun to make--Draw a sound on a spectrogram, tweak it, play, save it. sounddr.ca/art/draw-a-s... Curious to hear what people come up with! (Yes, I'm procrastinating this week).
What would a home sound like if you co-ordinated all the sound of all appliances? sounddr.ca/house-choir....
As if this place is real! How beautiful, if barren, the Faroe Islands are!
Public sound toys in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands! I had to have a little time to play...
Woohoo! Author copies of my new book just arrived! Always great to see them in print! Available from @mitpress.bsky.social mitpress.mit.edu/978026205373...
Even Darwin had bad days. If you're feeling it, know you're seen. We all feel this some days. "I am very poorly today and very stupid and hate everybody and everything". From 1861. www.npr.org/sections/kru...
Remember sound designer and my friend Jory Prum, on the eve of the tenth anniversary of his death.
Cicadas in New Zealand are next level! They not only make a hiss, but also have a weird clacking noise. And they are LOUD. Standing near a tree I measured nearly 85dB!
Gehry was my favourite architect, and I made a pilgrimage to see several of his buildings IRL. This one is Dancing House, in Prague. RIP to a real legend.
Filed my formal legal class action complaint against Anthropic for stealing my work. Let's see if I actually get paid. AI = Theft.
Busy weekend training with Search and Rescue teams from all over Ontario. We had a simulated tornado and flood along with very real snow and wind!
I am studying for my wilderness first responder exams and have discovered that I'm suffering from mild hypothermia.
Pilgrimage to the giant metronome in Prague. It keeps a slow beat but it works!
David Lynch exhibit at the DOX (Prague): Really great to see some OLD experimental shorts and I feel like I better understand both his films and soundtracks to them!
A visit to the Museum of Musical Instruments was a bit like going to the zoo: It's nice to see these creatures, but profoundly sad that they're locked in cages and can't live out their purpose.
My hotel has a rotary phone and called me on it. Man, the nostalgia hit hard.
AudioMostly/ICAD conference--backdrop to our conference presentations. A Unesco world heritage building, which is lovely, but perhaps not so much when it is 40 degrees outside! #AMICAD2025
Is AI the new "working for exposure"? How will indie composers get practice working on games now, when devs prefer to just use AI rather than even free music by real humans?
