I waited in line for over 3 hours in this election. And that was only 62.5% turnout! But once they told us we could vote as long as we were in line, we all stayed. Young people have a lot of stamina.

This is a fun idea. A serious idea with a lot of structure behind it is, volunteer to work with your county’s election protection team. This is a longstanding, well-organized process to make sure voters have an ally at the polls.

Because of this post, I went to look up Zach Wahls. WOW. Aside from all the amazing activism + experience (gay moms, breakout testimony, book, won 1st St Sen race), this charming story made me realize he had his own Taylor+Travis moment—only he got to be Taylor!
I believe that would be Sarah Susanka. Several books on this philosophy!
