I love the local jays

Foraging: gleans vegetation and ground.
Voice: loud jay-jay-jay, occassionally calls like the horn from an old Model-T Ford (haaaarnk), also mimics other birds.
Similar Species: unmistakable.
Notes: Although most people think of Ontario when a Blue Jay is mentioned, they are by no means restricted to this area. This widespread bird occurs from Alberta and the Maritimes down through the Gulf states. A highly adaptable species, it continues to expand its range north and west, forever bullying its way onto birdfeeders.

Been craving banana bread (cake) but been having a yeasted bread brain bug lately, so dreamed up a combination. Kept to the preroast (confit???) of the bananes then creamed them in with some oat milk before adding yeast for pre proof. Then oven broke and had to learn how to broil bread 🤣 😋😋😋

Same!! I called it self care! Declutters some the tsundoku, reduces tripping hazards, easier on the eyes, and damn who doesn't love a wooden book case!!!
