This follows the well-known KH-8 GAMBIT-3 satellite image showing one of the vehicles in 1968.

This wasn't the only image captured at such an angle. I don't remember off the top of my head exactly how many targets were captured in this way, but a large portion of the US east coast was imaged for sure. See the images below of Norfolk and the surrounding area, taken 10 frames prior to the Cape

I've been busy with some projects lately so I haven't had much time for declassified imagery. So here's an Umbra SAR video of cleanup operations at LC-36 the other day.

44 years ago today (June 13) a KH-9 HEXAGON spy satellite flew over the Falkland Islands during the Falklands War. The satellite captured the cratered runway at Port Stanley and the burning ship Sir Galahad. Links in reply.

An animated sequence of images taken by a KH-4A CORONA spy satellite horizon camera. The images were taken on August 23, 1965, during mission 1023 as the satellite flew southeast over North Korea. China's Shandong Peninsula is clearly seen.

Even closer. You can see how the launch tower is damaged near the base. Some debris lays in the flame bucket.
