Happy birthday to actor Peter Strauss! He is, of course, best known for his role as Wolff in "Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone." Wolff and Molly Ringwald enter the Forbidden Zone to battle Michael Ironside, who looks like a zombie with dental issues. Still, fun movie!

Happy anniversary to It Came From Outer Space! The classic alien invasion film was released on this day in 1953. The film may be best remembered by Rocky Horror fans. It's mentioned in the song "Science Fiction/Double Feature," along with Forbidden Planet, The Invisible Man, and Flash Gordon.

These pickle jars have to be the worst spacesuit design in all of space opera. What were they thinking?
